LIFE Church

We all find ourselves somewhere on the journey. We are not meant to take the journey alone. We might recharge alone but in order to get to the next place, we need people in our life. They are the fuel that helps us get to God’s desired destination for our life.

Pastor Bob began a new series on relationships and the importance of friends. The quality of life is determined by the quality of friends. With the current lack of friends for many people and the importance of friends, we need to look at Jesus and the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37 (NKJV)) to see how we can learn Friending Like Jesus.

Pastor Caleb brought a practical word of wisdom and encouragement to us this week from Philippians 4:4-13. The Apostle Paul wrote this epistle when he was in prison, written to a church that was poor and faced much opposition. We are to live a life aligned with God, full of gratitude and contentment.

When we know what something is made for, we can use it most effectively. We were made for worship. Worship is love expressed. Worship is our response to what we value most. Worship isn’t something that happens from a church platform. It takes place wherever we are at.

Jesus is our High Priest. Accepting His death on the Cross, allows us to come boldly to receive grace and mercy from the Father in our time of need. Prayer is a gift, but we must open and us it to receive. Prayer is given to be answered.

God calls us to live a supernatural life, a life we cannot accomplish with our own effort. This life is only possible through God’s grace and bold prayer.

Series: The Pursuit | All Scripture, not just the parts that we agree with, are provisions for our life. The Word of God teaches, corrects, and trains us. God’s Word is His breath. Breath brings life. If our physical bodies are deprived of oxygen for 3 minutes, there will be brain damage. We need God’s breath, His Word, to keep us on the right path.

We don’t have to give; we GET to give. The gospel changes our perspective, changes our desires, and gives us the power to do what pleases God.
