With the second commandment, God instructs us to not make images or idols objects of our worship, but rather to honor the one true and living God. While we would rarely bow our knee to a statue made of stone or iron, we many times relinquish God's rightful place to ideas, images and activities. Throughout life, we go through seasons. Life is filled with all sorts of mountains and valleys. Regardless of the season, we have a responsibility to praise God. Each change in season is simply a "Praise Point", an opportunity to magnify the goodness of God across the seasons of life.

As Peter met with the Jerusalem council, he shared of his experience with Cornelius, which he concluded by saying "Who was I to Stand in God's Way." In this message, Pastor Thompson shared the importance of not being resistant to change. Change is valuable and allows us to grow and become more. This was a great lesson that provided a clear path to help us all embrace change.
