There is a way that seems right to a man but the end leads to death. As we adapt our thinking and behavior to match God's, we find what is better. His loving kindness is better than anything we could ever experience in life without it.

What we do and think does not change God's love for us, but it will change our love for Him. In order to draw close to the Lord, we must resist the devil and submit to God.

The new covenant way to relate to God is in spirit and truth. This is the only way that worship gets through. Everything else is flesh and ineffectual. We must maintain the simplicity that is in Christ to make this relationship work.
