This week, we’re reaching into the mail bag again and are back at it answering some of your questions. We talk through how to identify whether you are dealing with a spirit or just a natural consequence. One listener asks for advice on how to handle the pressure of everything that’s happening in the world around us without getting crushed by it. We also share some of our favorite worship songs and tackle the “Is counseling necessary for a Believer?” question. We cover a lot of ground in this episode and we hope you enjoy it!

We’re back with another Q&A episode this week answering questions from our listeners. This time, we’re talking about personal prophecy and what weight we should give it in our lives. We also respond to one listener who struggles with trying to fix all their friend’s and family's problems. We give a few tips on how to steer clear of this relational trap.

In our very first Q&A episode, we’re answering some listener questions and getting to know your hosts a little better (yep, that means me too). We share our unique experiences of how we each came into full-time ministry and how to know if you’re called there too. We also speak into how to keep a good attitude when nothing seems to go right. This is a fun one and we hope you enjoy it too.

We know that God loves everyone and He wants us to love them too. He also sees them as inherently valuable all of the time. Today we’re asking, is it possible for imperfect human beings to actually see the value in everyone? We’ll also look at devaluation, what that means, and what it is doing to our culture. We believe that as we see people as God sees them, we will be able to influence our world in the right direction. We’ll also look at some practical ways to do just that.

Depending on your spheres of interaction, covenant may either be a foreign word to you or one that’s used quite often. But what is it? And is it still relevant today? Relationships are often complex and can be really tricky to navigate, especially in a society where commitment and trust are such rare commodities. We hope this episode helps you to see the value in relational equity as we explore the different sides of this thing called covenant.

With nearly 8 billion people on the planet, there are not two of them out there that would agree on absolutely everything. Our culture can be so explosive towards these differences. We often take a disagreement as a personal attack and therefore fight back to protect our own opinion or beliefs. But is there actual value in disagreement? If so, how do we learn to disagree and still maintain healthy, life-giving relationships? That’s what we’re getting into in today’s episode. We hope you enjoy this conversation and take something from it that will add value and life to your life.

Every single person has come up against discouragement at some point in their lives, us included. It can be a scary place and lead to hopelessness and despair–not exactly a dream destination. The Bible says that hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when it is restored again, it is like a tree of life. Today we want to talk about some warning signs to watch out for that tell us we may be headed down a path of discouragement; we’ll also share some ways for how to re-route, how to access hope and courage, and how to become like that tree of life again.

Our culture seems to always be speaking to us in the competing narratives of: DO MORE vs. DO LESS. On one hand, we should all be doing our part of contributing and have dreams and goals we are reaching towards and wanting to make the world a better place. On the other hand, we’re taught the importance of rest and contentment and being present and enjoying where we are right now. So how do these two streams of thought reconcile? That’s what we’re talking about in today’s episode.

We believe what the Bible says about God: that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. But does He only give gifts when we’ve earned them? When He’s feeling generous? When we are growing? When we are perfect? And does He take them away from us to teach us lessons? Today, we’re talking about God’s abundant nature, what it says about Him and what it means for us and how we relate to Him.

Is there a place for pessimism in the Kingdom of God? As Believers, is there such a thing as too much optimism? These are questions we’re tackling today. In general, we are a pretty solutions-oriented team, but we’ll get into some of the benefits of seeing problems and talk through the higher perspective of hope in Jesus, even when circumstances try to lead us to believe a different narrative.
