James Ngcobo is a South African television, stage and film actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as Mojo Khumalo in the enduring SABC 2 sitcom, Stokvel, alongside Manaka Ranaka, Thembi Mtshali-Jones and many others. He is the first black person be an artistic director at the Market Theatre full time. His appointment follows a prolific directing career that has included sitcoms, a festival spanning 14 European cities, a big-budget extravaganza marking the centenary of the African National Congress and a musical starring Hugh Masekela bound for Carnegie Hall in New York next year
