Because gay people grow up in very hostile situations, pushing and fighting against rejection, it is believed that they have a better understanding about how one should be given a chance to be who they are rather than being told who to be.
It is also said that same-sex parents unlike heterosexuals, do not just wake up pregnant - they thoroughly think about bringing up children and realise the commitment required, so when they decide, they are truly ready. Parenting is more of a choice to same-sex couples, there is more motivation than in heterosexual parents on average.
But is our society ready to let homosexual (gay) men be parents? For how long will this been a taboo? Should children be deprives a home anf a family because we’re a homophobic society?
