In this, my first episode of Season 1, I wanted to talk about where I've been and the changes I've made in my life.
In this episode, we cover:
COVID, working from home, and the loneliness that came from that
the difficulties in working in an environment which lacks clarity, and the impact on my mood and motivation
my diagnosis of clinical depression, and the help I got through the NHS
my addiction to gaming, and how this was a space to hide from real life
a little about counselling/therapy, and other things that helped me get my life from where it was then in 2020, to where it is now in 2023.It's a bit raw and personal in places, and I've deliberately left it that way - I don't want this to feel curated, I want it to feel real and I want it to resonate with people who have gone through this or are going through it now. I want you to know that it's possible to get through it and I hope that this podcast can help you with that.
