  • Spain to Track Pro-Life Doctors

Imagine if the government began tracking down conscientious objectors, doctors who refused to commit an abortion, and placed them on a government blacklist. Well, that is exactly what is happening in Spain. The prime minster is threatening provinces promising that “appropriate legal mechanisms will be activated to enforce their compliance.” If they refuse to track doctors, that won’t abort babies. This happens following a new government regulation requiring all of Spain’s public hospitals to commit abortions after many doctors simply refused to offer them. Maybe the government in Spain could learn a thing or two if they took the time to speak with the doctors that aren’t comfortable with killing an unborn baby.

  • EPA Could Investigate Ways to Test Water for Chemical Abortion Drugs

The American people deserve to have clean, safe drinking water. We ought to know exactly what we are ingesting and what it could be doing to our bodies and our fertility. Each year it is estimated that more than 40 tons of chemically tainted human remains enter our wastewater systems due to the chemical abortion drug. Thankfully, the New York Times reports that the EPA could develop new methods to detect mifepristone and other potentially harmful contaminants in our water. This comes following the request of 25 members of Congress who asked the EPA to investigate. The chemical abortion drug has proven to be deadly for the baby and dangerous for the mother. What could it be doing in our water? You deserve to know.

  • Pray for Pro-Life Voices

Recently our country has been plagued by political violence. We are all still grieving the loss of our friend, and fellow pro-life advocate Charlie Kirk. Last week a man was arrested having brought two hundred explosives to a cathedral which was expected to be attended by Supreme Court Justices. After the Dobbs decision was leaked to the press a man was arrested in a plot to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. We all remember the wave of vandalism and fire bombings which targeted pro-life pregnancy resource centers following the Dobbs decision. Not long-ago pro-life advocate Savannah Craven Antao was violently attacked in the street for simply having pro-life discussions with those who disagreed with her. Please continue to pray for justice, and the safety of those who defend life.

  • Maternal Mortality Drops Post Dobbs

Abortion advocates have spent years grasping for straws searching for any perceived justification for their draconian pro-abortion legislation. One of their favorite lies has been to claim that if we save the lives of unborn babies, it will cause the deaths of countless pregnant women and send the maternal mortality rate skyrocketing. Data shows that has not been the case. In 2023 the United States saw 669 maternal deaths according to the CDC. That represents a seventeen percent DROP in maternal deaths compared to 2022 and a forty three percent decline from 2021. While intervening factors like the pandemic should not be dismissed, the data is clear. Overturning Roe has not increased maternal mortality.

  • No Planned Parenthoods Left in Louisiana

Planned Parenthood facilities continue to close across America as the abortion giant loses federal funding and public support. This month marks a historic milestone in Louisiana—after the Baton Rouge abortion center shut its doors; there are now zero Planned Parenthood locations remaining in the entire state! This incredible victory reflects the growing success of the pro-life movement and the tireless efforts of those who stand for mothers and their unborn children. According to Planned Parenthood’s own reports, as many as 200 additional locations may soon be forced to close nationwide. Each shuttered facility represents countless lives spared, and communities freed from the influence of the abortion industry. We will continue fighting until every state is free from abortion mills, and every life is protected.

  • Helping More Women than Ever Before

While abortion advocates prey upon vulnerable women and men for profit, the pro-life community continues to reach out with compassion, offering genuine love, hope, and support. Our friends at Heartbeat International recently shared an incredible update—their contact center has already connected with more than 750,000 women this year, more than double what they anticipated for the entire year. That means hundreds of thousands of women facing unplanned pregnancies are finding help, encouragement, and life-affirming alternatives instead of despair. Every time you stand for life it’s a chance to save not only a baby, but to transform a mother’s heart and her whole future. Women in crisis deserve real care, and the pro-life movement is answering that call more powerfully than ever before.

  • Pro-Life Laws Save Lives

Adopted in 1976, the Hyde Amendment, forbids taxpayer dollars from directly funding most abortions in the United States. Every year since, it has been reaffirmed by Congress and every year, it has saved lives. According to a recent analysis by our friends at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, the Hyde Amendment has protected more than 2.6 million unborn babies from abortion since it was first passed. Each and every one of those lives saved is a testimony to the impact of persistent, principled pro-life advocacy. The historic success of the Hyde amendment reminds us that our efforts matter. Your voice can save lives. It also highlights a vital role of education, because informed hearts and minds lay the foundation for every legislative victory and every life spared from abortion.

  • Canada’s Birthrate Hits All-Time Low

For the second consecutive year Canada’s birth-rate has dropped to an all time low in two thousand twenty four. Data shows they have reached a new low of a staggering one point two five children per woman. In two-thousand and twenty three the birth rate was one point two six. Replacement fertility is two point one children per woman. This concerning trend is not unique to Canada. As we have documented on our website at life issues dot org nearly all of the western world is facing a looming fertility crisis. Meanwhile, the same nations that are facing this crisis continue to kill unborn babies in the womb. Our world desperately needs more babies, not less. Abortion is never the answer to the problems facing the world.

  • Defending Life Before the United Nations

In an encouraging development, our unexpected ally Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr. told the United Nations that the United States will not support a proposed U.N. resolution due to its support for abortion. Kennedy is quoted stating, “Neither can we accept claims of a constitutional or international right to abortion.” He continued, “The US will walk away from the declaration, but we will never walk away from the world or our commitment to end chronic disease.” The United Nations has been a long-standing advocate of abortion around the world. The United States should stand strong in defense of the unborn and continue to refuse any resolutions which would seek to further a radical abortion agenda and we are encouraged to see this.

  • Scottish Grandma Arrested for Holding Sign

In yet another example of free speech violations against pro-life advocates, a seventy-five-year-old Scottish grandmother was arrested for simply holding a sign silently. Rose Docherty was holding a sign which said “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” Because her peaceful display of love was deemed to be within 200 meters of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. She has been criminally charged because Scotland has so-called buffer laws preventing free speech surrounding abortion facilities. This is not Rose’s first run-in with the law. She was arrested once before for holding the very same sign with love. It is crucial that we retain the right to speak boldly in defense of those who cannot defend themselves. Join us in prayer for bold voices like Rose.
