In the ongoing national battle for life, the state of Arkansas continues to lead the way. Once again, our friends at Americans United for Life have named Arkansas the most pro-life state in the nation—an honor they’ve now received multiple times. Over the years, Arkansas has enacted more than 65 laws protecting unborn children and supporting mothers through pregnancy and beyond. These laws promote compassion, safety, and a true culture of life. Arkansas is setting a model for the nation. Their success shows what’s possible when citizens and lawmakers work together with courage and conviction. As we celebrate their stance for life, we’re inspired to continue fighting for similar victories in every state across America and we know that pro-life education is what makes this possible.
The Department of Health and Human Services has announced it will roll back a Biden-era policy that allowed taxpayer dollars to fund abortions for illegal alien minors. By reaffirming the Hyde Amendment, HHS will now ensure that federal funds, your tax dollars, are not used to end innocent lives in the womb. The Biden administration, which had ignored the Hyde Amendment, sought to facilitate the killing of pre-born babies by explicitly telling the Office of Refugee Resettlement to help illegal alien minors get abortions. Every unborn baby has a right to life regardless of his or her circumstances, and no American should be forced to have their hard-earned money pay to help kill an innocent child.
As chemical abortion continues to take the lives of millions of babies around the world, more information continues to come out exposing just how dangerous the drugs are for the mothers. New government data from the United Kingdom shows that more than 54,000 women were hospitalized after taking the chemical abortion pill. Data from the United States shows that roughly one in ten women who take the pill will face seriously medical complications. Chemical abortion continues to grow in popularity and is now the primary method of abortion, despite the tremendous dangers associated with it. The abortion industry hides the truth from women; they claim that the drugs are safe and harmless. Those who have experienced it firsthand know the truth. Chemical abortion must be stopped.
A security guard posted in front of an abortion facility is now a secret advocate for life directing women to speak with pro-life volunteers and encouraging them to learn about life-affirming alternatives to abortion. Sidewalk counselors with a 40 days for life campaign took the time to speak with the security guard and share the importance of defending life. Their conversation planted the seed which would eventually lead to that security guard’s brave stand for life. Imagine the impact that you can have by being brave enough to share pro-life values with those in your life. All of us often underestimate the impact that we can have on others. Standing for life in one conversation could create a domino effect that saves lives!
A Nova Scotia mother nearly died due to profuse bleeding caused by the chemical abortion drug. When she became pregnant with her sixth child, she decided to have an at home abortion. When the pain and bleeding became excessive, she traveled to the hospital where she was seen and eventually sent back home. Later she collapsed and was rushed back by ambulance for emergency surgery. The abortion drug had left part of her child inside her. Horror stories like this one are all too common because of the dangerous mail-out distribution of the abortion drugs. These pills are deadly to the unborn, and they put the life of the mother in tremendous danger. So much Planned Parenthood’s claim that it is safer than Tylenol.
The sanctity of human life has been further discarded in Uruguay following a vote to legalize euthanasia. The country, which legalized abortion in 2012, will now allow for patients to be directly killed by a doctor. The legislation itself mirrors much of Canada’s legislation as there is no requirement for terminal illness and no waiting period. To be eligible to be killed individuals must be suffering from an “incurable illness” which causes “unbearable suffering”. Currently the legislation does not allow euthanasia for minors, though we have seen that where euthanasia is legalized, the so-called safeguards often fall away. When the sanctity of human life becomes an afterthought, legislation like this continues to expand and more lives are taken.
A Colorado abortion mill is now killing unborn babies until as late as 34 weeks of gestation. The facility says, “any reason you have for needing abortion care is yours, and it is the right one.” You heard correctly; they are happy to abort babies well beyond the point of medical viability for any reason at all. Unfortunately, the state of Colorado has become a hotspot for abortion tourism due to the lack of protections for the unborn. Much of this abortion mill’s staff was previously employed under the notorious late-term abortionist Warren Hern who is believed to have killed more than 40,000 babies via abortion.
The mail order distribution of the dangerous chemical abortion drug kills babies and enables abusers. A young woman was coerced and forced against her will to take abortion drugs that her boyfriend had obtained in the mail, shipped from California. The young woman wanted to keep her baby. She didn’t want to have an abortion, but her boyfriend made her fear for her life and made her take the drugs. The removal of the in person dispensing requirement in 2023 made stories like this possible. Now that young woman is suing the FDA. Joined by the state of Louisiana and the Alliance Defending Freedom she wants to protect other young women from the abuse that she experienced.
A very dangerous precedent is being set right now in Canada. A man was euthanized, and his heart was harvested and transplanted. While we are certainly glad that the life of the recipient has been extended, we can’t look past the present danger. Euthanasia and assisted suicide have proven to be a very slippery slope around the world as so-called safeguards fall off. With a high demand for more organs and lax euthanasia laws, its not hard to see the issue here. There are already many reports of patients being pressured toward euthanasia by medical professionals. Killing one patient to save the life of another patient is hardly good medicine. In fact, its just plain evil.
Yet again, more women have been injured by Planned Parenthood. Just in the last four months, two separate medical emergencies have happened at the Planned Parenthood facility in Denver, Colorado. One woman was experiencing trouble breathing and the other was experiencing sudden onset of priority symptoms, indicating a potentially life-threatening emergency. When freedom of information act requests were made seeking to learn more and obtain the dispatch audios and learn more about, the city classified the 911 calls as “criminal justice records” exempting the full audio from public disclosure once again protecting the abortion industry. When Planned Parenthood shows such blatant disregard for the lives of the innocent children that they kill every day, it should come as no surprise that they place the mothers in danger as well.
