Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today’s song is called “Let’s Go For A Ride!” Life is a journey, and where we’ve been is an important part of who we are. But we can’t spend all our time looking in the rearview mirror! There are new roads to travel, new goals to reach, and new dreams waiting for us. And when we invite Jesus along for the ride, we know we don’t have to travel those roads alone. So buckle up, my friends, and let’s go for a ride!

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today’s song is called “A to Z in Faith.” I had fun putting this one together, using every letter of the alphabet to highlight different people, stories, and lessons from the Bible. From A to Z, there is so much wisdom, inspiration, and faith to discover in God’s Word. I hope this song brings a little joy to your day and reminds you of the many ways God and the Bible touch our lives every day.

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today's song is called “The Sycamore Tree.” It tells the story of Zacchaeus, the tax collector who was known as a cheat and someone nobody wanted to be friends with. So, he climbs a sycamore tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus as He passes by. But Jesus does something no one expects. He chooses Zacchaeus, of all people, to visit and share a meal with.
This is a story about redemption, forgiveness, and the beautiful reminder that Jesus loves us, no matter how many times we stumble or how far we may have fallen. And it reminds us that we, too, can choose to look beyond someone's past and see the person underneath.
Because sometimes, the very person everyone else has given up on is the one who needs love the most. And you know what? We all feel a little better when we reach out, lend a hand, and make room for someone else at our table.
So, my friends, let's remember to love a little wider, judge a little less, and never underestimate the power of giving someone another chance.
I hope you enjoy “The Sycamore Tree.”

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today’s song is called “Shine a Flashlight.” With so much in the news right now about this topic, I felt compelled to write this song. It’s a subject that, unfortunately, touches far too many of us. I’ve shared parts of my own story in the past, and I know how much stronger I felt when I finally found the courage to speak my truth. There is something powerful about stepping out of the shadows and discovering that you aren’t alone, that someone else understands, and that your story might help another person find their voice.
When we share our experiences, we begin to let go of the shame and blame that were never ours to carry. Our stories are not our weakness; they are our strength. And when we stand together, listen to one another, and whisper those powerful words, “Me too,” we remind each other that healing is possible and that none of us has to walk this journey alone.
I hope this song reminds you of the light we can bring to one another when we have the courage to shine a flashlight into the dark corners of our lives.
Please like, follow and especially share this one if you feel it may help another woman find her strength. If you would like to connect after listening, please respond using the fanmail button on this site, or email me at: [email protected].

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today’s song is called “Dusty Shelf.”
Have you ever gone back to a book that you loved as a child? Maybe it was a Dr. Seuss book, or the silly little rhymes of Mother Goose. Those books made us laugh, comforted us, and in their own simple ways, taught us a few things about life.
Then we grew up a little, and our books changed. As teenagers, maybe we found ourselves in stories like The Outsiders, discovering characters who were struggling with many of the same things we were struggling with—belonging, friendship, loneliness, and trying to figure out where we fit in this world.
And then we became adults.
And sometimes, we find ourselves reaching for another book on that dusty shelf—the Bible.
There are times in our lives when we just need a little comfort. We need some understanding. We need someone to remind us that we aren't the first person to feel lost, afraid, hurt, or unsure of what to do next.
And that’s where those verses can become such wonderful guides. The words in the Bible can meet us right where we are and give us something to hold onto when life feels a little too heavy.
So, “Dusty Shelf” is really about all those books we’ve collected along the way—the stories and words that have comforted us, taught us, and helped us make sense of life.
Sometimes, the answers we need might just be waiting for us on a dusty shelf.
So, my beautiful friends, I hope you enjoy “Dusty Shelf.”

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today’s song is called “My Own Hero.”
Have you ever found yourself waiting for a hero? Someone to come along and rescue you? Maybe, like me, you grew up watching those movies where, just when things looked really bad, the hero showed up and made everything okay.
Wouldn’t it be nice if life worked that way?
But sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes life gets really hard, and the person we hoped would be there just isn’t. And that can leave us feeling pretty alone… and pretty afraid.
But this song is about discovering that there is more strength inside of us than we sometimes realize. It’s about finding that resilience and learning to stand on our own two feet—while also knowing that we don’t really have to do it all alone.
Because God is there. He’s in our corner. And when we lean on Him, we can find the courage to face the battles that come our way.
In this song, our main character is introduced to God by a friend who invites her to church. And through that friendship, she begins to discover something pretty powerful: maybe she doesn’t need to wait for someone else to come and save her. Maybe she can become her own hero—with God right there beside her.
So, my beautiful friends, I hope you enjoy “My Own Hero.”

Good morning this morning, my Ordinarily Beautiful friends!
Today I want to share another song I’ve written called “Look in Their Eyes.” This one came from thinking about how easy it can be to look away from what someone else may be going through—or to make quick assumptions because it’s easier than taking the time to really understand.
I started wondering… what if we slowed down? What if we turned off the news for a little while, put down our phones, and actually looked around at the people right in front of us? What if we looked for what we have in common instead of always looking at what separates us? What if we simply said “hello” more often to one another?
There are a few lines in this song that really say what was in my heart when I wrote it: “Let’s hear with our hearts instead of our eyes.” And, “What if we looked for what was the same? What about our world vision would change?”
I don’t have all the answers. But I do wonder what might happen if we spent a little less time looking at each other through the eyes of the world—and a little more time looking in each other’s eyes.
So, this is my song, “Look in Their Eyes.”
Hope you enjoy it! Please remember to Like, Follow and Share this podcast with others, who you think may enjoy being a part of our amazing community of beautiful people! Good morning, this morning, my beautiful friends!
Today’s song is called “The Spark Inside.” It’s a little reminder that we are never too old to go outside and play.
Because that little girl—the one who shares your name—is still inside you. The little girl who loved splashing in puddles, chasing rainbows, and searching for that leprechaun’s gold at the end of them…she’s still there.
Sometimes we just need to open the curtains, swing the door wide, and go outside and play.
It’s never too late to enjoy life again…to laugh, to wonder, to get a little messy, and to find that spark that made you feel alive when you were younger.
So today, I hope you’ll find your spark—and maybe go outside and play.
Here’s “The Spark Inside.”

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends! I hope you’re enjoying listening to these new ballads that I’ve written and am sharing about lessons I’ve learned—or am still learning—as I navigate my way through life.
Today’s song is called “My Pity Party Song.”
Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong? You know, one thing happens, and then another—and before you know it, you’re hanging on to that whole series of events and letting it ruin your entire day…or maybe even two or three days!
I know I’ve been guilty of having myself a pity party. I’ll feel sorry for myself, and let those bad feelings hang around a whole lot longer than they really need to.
This song actually comes from one of the life lessons in my memoir, “Life Lessons of an Ordinary Woman.” The lesson is a simple one: You can have yourself a pity party, but don’t live there.
And I think there’s a lot of truth in that. Sometimes we just need to give ourselves a moment. It’s okay to be frustrated. It’s okay to be disappointed. It’s okay to feel sorry for ourselves for a little while. But we don’t have to live there!
Sometimes we just need to sing our pity party song, have our moment, and then let it go and move on toward a better day.
So, if you’ve ever had yourself a pity party—like I have—this song may just be for you!

Good morning this morning, my beautiful friends!
I hope you’re enjoying listening to these new ballads I’ve been writing and sharing with you—songs about lessons I’ve learned, lessons I’m still learning, and the things I discover as I navigate my way through this crazy, beautiful thing called life.
Today’s song is called “Finding My No.”
This is a song about finding my voice—and learning that it’s okay to say NO.
Especially when life gets overwhelming.
People-pleasing is something I’ve done for most of my life. I’ve often said yes when I really wanted to say no, sometimes at the expense of my own time, my own energy, and even my own happiness. I think, for me, a lot of that came from not wanting to feel guilty. And, if I’m being completely honest, sometimes I said yes because I was afraid that saying no might mean losing friends or making someone disappointed in me.
But I’m learning something.
No is not a bad word.
Learning to say no has actually given me something I didn’t realize I was missing: time for myself.
Time to do things that feed my spirit. Things that make me happy. Things that give me energy instead of taking it away. And sometimes, saying no to one thing gives me the opportunity to say yes to something that really matters to me.
And here’s another thing I’ve discovered: the people who truly value me—my friends, my family, and even supervisors I’ve worked with—have understood when I’ve said no. Some have even looked at me and said, “I wish I could say no more often, too.”
Maybe that’s because so many of us are walking around trying to be everything to everyone.
So this song is a little reminder to myself—and maybe to you, too—that finding your voice sometimes means finding your no.
And there’s freedom in that.
So, beautiful friends, here’s “Finding My No.”
