Manawatū Guardian editor/reporter Judith Lacy joins Caleb and Arka to talk about honest journalism and the essence of telling authentic stories. Judith has been in the journalism industry for nearly two decades, telling stories of inspiring people; she shares what made her want to pursue this career and how she found the inspiration to do so. Being an excellent news reporter and editor, Judith conveys how she constructs a story and conducts interviews.

Finding resources is a crucial step in making any artistic project which includes funding for a short film. Arka and Caleb are joined by Cr Rachel Bowen who is also a panel member of the Creative Community Scheme of Palmerston North City Council. Rachel shares what the panel typically wants to see in a project and how to make your application as strong as possible. Caleb and Arka ask Rachel for advice to any aspiring creative just starting who wants to get their projects funded.

Arka and Caleb are joined by their first guest of the show, Palmerston North's arts ambassador - Shaun Kay. Shaun shares his journey in this role and his life experiences, how it all began and how the city has grown towards becoming an example to other cities over the past decade. They discuss the rainbow community of Palmy and the support available for individuals seeking help. Shaun advises aspiring young creatives wanting to showcase their talents.
