* When was the last time you gave up on something? Why didn’t you finish?

* Why are we tempted to give up when life gets hard?

* How can suffering impact our relationship with God?

* How can we persevere through hard times?

When have you felt left out (maybe in grade school or while playing sports)? What emotions did you experience from being left out?

How should we handle experiences from our past that made us feel unwanted?

What is the difference between how God sees us and how people see us?

In what ways can we observe a person’s heart by their actions?

Remember that God has a different perspective than we do on whom he uses and how he uses them, and he’s ready and willing to use you Right Now.

Welcome to a Special Episode of Grasp the Sword! As most of us get ready for Christmas, we take a minute to remember a baby who was born to us as the Savior of the World! Shea and Eric discuss Old Testament Prophecies that pointed to Jesus’ birth. They discuss the turmoil that the Jews underwent and some of the turmoil that we face today.

They also read through a narrative of the birth of Jesus from Matthew and Luke.  They share how Jesus coming in the way he did was not God’s meeting our expectations of a savior, but that God blows up our expectations.

Special thanks to our Praise team for coming in and recording a few songs for us. As always, they did a fantastic job! Also special thanks to John Redden for his help with the recording and prepping for the podcast!
