Jordan talks with Mark about this passion for missions. They discuss what missions means, what mission work does, and the purpose behind missions. They dive into the joy of sharing Jesus with a lost world and how the Spirit can move you into places that you may not be comfortable in order to accomplish his purposes.

Welcome to another episode of Grasp the Sword. Today we continue our series looking deeper at the Holy Spirit. Joining me in studio are Caleb Kersey, Josh Mcaffee, and Seth Rudd. They help teach the Upper Room Class on Sunday mornings here at Skyline. Currently, they are in a deep dive in the study of Acts, which goes along perfectly with our study of the Holy Spirit.

During our session today, we continue discussing how the Holy Spirit was pivotal in the forming of the early church. We also talk about the Spirit’s role in other parts of the Bible and in our lives.

In this week’s episode Eric and Eric recap week four of our study of the book “Fight” by Craig Groeschel as we prepare for the final video in the series. They hit some highlights from the week and noted some points of note from the book and from the study guide. They also highlight some key points from week 5.

This week, we will be focusing on week 5 of the video series and study guide. Week 5 is the most exciting video of the series because it shows the grace that God offered to Samson and the grace that God offers to each of us as men who constantly make mistakes. We get to see that even though we make mistakes, God can still us to fulfill his purposes. We also deal with the idea that “Failure is an event, it is never a person.”

In today’s podcast we are starting a series specifically dedicated to studying the Holy Spirit. We are joined by Randall Roby who shares with us some insight into how the Holy Spirit empowered the early Christians from the very beginnings of the church.

In this episode, Eric and Peter Hunt discuss a little known character from the Old Testament named Araunah (aka Ornan) the Jesubite.  We learn about his story and his interactions with King David after a plague (a punishment for David's sin) has killed thousands of Israelites.
