Can you be a Christian and walk with integrity while being involved in Politics?

Living with Integrity, despite one’s vocational choice, takes intentionality. It is easier to see a lack of integrity on the part of others, than ourselves, or “our side.” We want to think the best of ourselves while we think more critically/ judgmentally of others.

Can we teach integrity? It is better caught than taught. AS parents and teachers we need to walk with integrity so that our children can see biblical examples for them to follow.

A lack of integrity is destabilizing to individuals, marriages, families and communities. Trust and truth-telling are the hallmarks of people who live with integrity. If a person or company is not trustworthy- if we can’t rely on what they say- they are not dependable and therefore, not trustworthy.

When families and institutions become less dependable, society unravels.

We need God’s stabilizing influence in our lives, marriages and institutions.

Assessment is integral to creating solid teams- both internal and external. This requires looking at thing truthfully and objectively.

Truth is not my perception, truth is measurable and both internal (if we are saved as the Spirit of the Living God dwells within us) and external.

Peter’s failure in Gethsemane is turned into a redemption story of salvation and we witness his becoming the ultimate Team Player because of his humility and willingness to submit to the Lord.

Courage- doing things that are difficult or that you don’t want to do; dying to your flesh and showing up.

Elite forces don’t leave anyone behind. They might not like each other but they are responsible for and respect each other.

Specific, Measurable, Attainable. Realistic, Timely

SMART goals allow you to manage roles and responsibilities, as well as expectations of yourself and others.   Without them, conflict will arise more quickly.

Goldilocks Principle – Not too hard, not too easy, just right.

Assessments and feedback loops are important to teams reaching their full potential.

Adjust for those on the team who “drag” the system and realize that often the drag has to do with the bigger story, not just our personal small story.
