This week, I had the privilege of speaking with Hannah Overton, whose name you might recall from her 2006 wrongful conviction for the murder of her adopted son. Despite being innocent, Hannah endured seven years in prison before her conviction was overturned. Her story of resilience and justice is nothing short of extraordinary. In our conversation, she shares her journey and her inspiring work now helping women transition out of prison. Don’t miss this powerful episode! When I showed up at the Behind Her Brand conference last week, I knew I needed help. The problem was that I didn't know what I needed to know. In this short, but sweet, episode I talk about a few things I learned that I'm able to apply to my creative projects as I move forward. I hope they help you, too! This Spring, I attended a brunch where Linda Strom spoke about her impactful ministry to women on Death Row. Her passion was undeniable, and I immediately invited her to my podcast. In this episode, we dive into her book "Karla Faye Tucker Set Free," explore moving stories from her time in prison, and discuss the driving force behind her mission. You can find out more about what Linda is doing at discipleshipunlimited.org. Tune in for an inspiring conversation that will leave you deeply encouraged. Thanks for listening!
How do you react when your plans change? I don't mean life-altering changes but in general, does it freak you out or are you able to go with the flow? If you're like me, it's a mixture of both responses. I hope my silly story encourages you today. Thanks for listening!
I don't know how long you've been married, but whether it's five years or fifty I'm guessing you don't have it all figured out. I certainly don't. However, one thing I've learned over the years is to celebrate my husband's differences instead of wanting to change him to be just like me. Something happened this weekend at our house that reminded me how much I love this certain quality he carries. I hope you are encouraged. Thanks for listening!
I don't know about you, but I tend to get a little lax in different areas in my life when things are going well. I've noticed some places that I need to put in some extra work and I'm excited to see how it's going to pay off. What about you? I hope that I can encourage you today. Thanks for listening!
