The biggest exhibition in the UAE will be held in 2023.
What to anticipate?
The most cutting-edge defence systems and technologies are on display in Abu Dhabi for hundreds of businesses and dozens of nations.
Under His Highness's sponsorship, the sixteenth International Exhibition of Armaments and Military Equipment (IDEX 2023) and the seventh Naval War Exhibition (NAVDEX 2023)
From February 20 to February 24, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, will visit Abu Dhabi and the rest of the United Arab Emirates.
However, the display took place before the International Defense Conference.
The Conference's subject was "Adaption, Exploration, Transformation: Reimagining Security, Society, and the Human Experience in an Age of Disruption," and more than 1,800 leaders and important figures from defence, security, academic, and corporate organisations from around the world attended.
Four carefully curated panel sessions with a total of 17 international speakers were part of the conference, and they covered topics such as the potential economic and social effects of using modern technology, cultivating talent and managing human capital, the impact of technologies on the future of defence operations, and the most recent advancements in modern technology.
The ability of humans to deal with natural hazards—the most severe of which are the impacts of climate change—remains the greatest challenge, however.
In the hopes that these sessions will yield concrete outcomes for the benefit of man, the conference examines the human instinct to explore beyond the present dimensions of the terrestrial and physical worlds, as well as to expand the human footprint in both space and the digital realm.
According to His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, as we seek security in a turbulent era, we must adapt to the realities of our situation, while also exploring the nature of the challenges, and developing means and methods to take advantage of technological development to manage the transformation process with full awareness.
Security cannot be attained solely through the use of coercion, weapons, or cutting-edge technology.
However, it is a comprehensive national system founded on a set of human ideals and principles that promote respect for the rights of other societies and cultures and work to forge human relations with them, according to His Excellency.
The International Defence Conference provides a strategic forum for top decision-makers and world leaders to discuss important world problems and come up with workable solutions to promote stability, peace, and global security.
The Conference provides a channel of communication between leaders and industry experts, enabling them to work together to develop defence systems capable of overcoming any upcoming challenges, shedding light on the crucial role that the UAE and Abu Dhabi play in fostering the growth of the defence industry.
