As usual, weekly content recorded about life matters impacting our creativity and creative selves. On this unscripted episode... SHAME. Shame is a prison indeed.
Looking back I cannot believe how incredibly dumb opinions could have impacted all my hard work and discipline. To allow people who haven't taken a step on the independent creative path for even a second in their lives run judgement and share opinion on my hustle. It was a madness. It's probably one of the times more recently I became acutely aware of the impact of conservative south asian culture - ideas about womanhood and femininity. Ideas about what it is to be respectful.
Without planning, I wrote a short post for 'WHAT YOU SAYING' POETRY -- a London based poetry and spoken word performance night takingp lace monthly with a focus on the most insightful and powerful life topics. It just so happens that their next London performance night is about SHAME. If you're in london or fancy making the trip I will be there (link below).
