Today I sat down with Jess Pettit, a consultant doing social justice education at colleges and universities. Jess and I connected this year at ACPA, and we were able to get together to chat about how Jess got to where she is now. We have a lot of conversations about visual things, which I try my best to describe as we talk about them, but I will link a few of them for pictures when more appropriate. We talked about growing up in Texas, obsession, being a black sheep, telling jokes, politics, getting fired, the Peace Corps, and branching out to consulting. We also talked about pets, shoe shopping, making scarfs, writing, editing, music, sleeping, the complexities of owning ones own business, and watching The Voice.
