As a new year begins, many people carry regret, disappointment, or anxiety from what they didn’t accomplish in the past year. Yet Scripture invites us to move forward with hope, not fear. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God is faithful to complete the good work He began in us. He does not call us to dwell on the past, but to trust His power to renew, restore, and make all things new. God’s newness isn’t wishful thinking—it’s His promise. No matter what the previous year looked like, He is still working, still transforming, and still bringing new life and purpose as we step into the year ahead.
Today’s Bible Verse:
Philippians 1:6 – https://www.biblestudytools.com/philippians/1-6.html

What if the best New Year devotion isn't about making perfect resolutions, but resting in the God who reigns over our imperfections? What if the "snags" of the holiday season are actually invitations to begin your New Year prayer journey by gazing at the One who sits on the throne?
In this uplifting Christian reflection for the New Year, we dive into Psalm 47 to explore the deep relief found in surrendering control to the King of all the earth. We discover that meditating on God’s majesty provides a necessary spiritual reset, shrinking the severity of our struggles and putting them into biblical perspective. As we transition from the busyness of Christmas into the unknown of the coming months, this episode reminds us that God is the Redeemer who makes a way.
Join host Jaime Hampton on the Praying Christian Women podcast for a time of encouragement, New Year’s Eve prayer, and renewal. Whether you need to recover from holiday stress or simply want to start trusting God in the New Year with a fresh heart, this episode offers a sanctuary for your soul. What is the evidence for and against reincarnation? When analyzed carefully, what does the science reveal? Gary Habermas is one of the world's leading experts on the Resurrection of Jesus. In this video, we do a deep dive on the common evidences given for reincarnation (e.g., child memories, birthmarks) and offer some additional critiques. We discuss the work of Ian Stevenson, leading researcher and pioneer for scientific reincarnation studies. While there is some interesting evidence for reincarnation, there is another supernatural explanation that accounts for the data, which must be considered.

In this week's replay J. Warner Wallace is a former cold-case detective—and curious skeptic—who used his unique skill set to investigate the Bible's claims. He joins Pastor Greg Laurie to help us find answers to questions that grip us, like how can a loving God allow suffering and what do I do with my unanswered questions? He also shares his effective approach to addressing skeptics' questions, encouraging us to think like we're in front of a jury.
By the end of this conversation, you'll feel more empowered and equipped, not only to talk about your faith with others, but to work through questions of your own. Give it a listen!

From unmet expectations to trust issues and loneliness in marriage, this episode exposes eight conversations you're likely avoiding in your marriage and how it's causing the disconnection gap to widen. I open up with a personal story about my own struggles with fear and avoidance (including a wild trip to the urgent care!), and how these emotions often hold us back from tackling topics that really matter.
The Conversations You're Likely Avoiding in Your Marriage:
Unmet Expectations: Many couples never openly discuss what they thought marriage would look like—and how reality has shifted those expectations.
Resentment: Sometimes prayer isn’t enough if you’re still nursing bitterness, unforgiveness, or past hurts. You can’t heal what you refuse to acknowledge.
Boundaries: Every relationship needs boundaries—even healthy ones. Yet many avoid discussing what’s acceptable, what’s not, and where limits should be set.
Disappointments: Small disappointments can quietly unravel intimacy if left unspoken. Instead of confronting them, we let them fester.
Loneliness in Marriage: There’s no lonelier place than a disconnected marriage, but admitting this vulnerability is often avoided.
Trust Issues: Especially after betrayal or big mistakes, couples might choose not to re-visit trust conversations for fear of reopening wounds or “rocking the boat.”
Conversations About the Future: Many avoid talking about end-of-life issues, financial planning, retirement, and other future-focused topics.
Celebrating Wins: Sometimes, couples even avoid sharing their successes if there’s secret competition or fear of triggering jealousy.

Start your new year with hope that goes beyond new diets, fitness programs, and the relentless pursuit of body perfection. In this heartfelt episode, host Heather Creekmore sits down with her former client, Lesley, to share her transformative journey from food and body image bondage to genuine spiritual and emotional freedom.
Lesley spent years as a health and wellness coach, tracking every calorie, restricting food, and chasing a number on the scale—all while struggling with her own body image issues. She candidly shares how these patterns began in grade school, persisted into adulthood, and continued even as she helped others pursue their health goals. Despite her expertise, she found herself trapped by obsession and shame surrounding food, weight, and self-worth.
Through Heather Creekmore's Body Image Freedom Framework, Lesley began to untangle the deep connection between identity and body image. Her story is honest about the challenges—grief, fear, letting go of control, and even stepping away from her coaching business—but it's also filled with hope and victory. Lesley discovered that true freedom came not from changing her body, but from changing her beliefs, surrendering her idol of body image, and learning to trust God’s gentle guidance through all the lows and highs.
In this episode, you'll hear:
How body image struggles often start early and shape identity
The dangers of moralizing food, restriction, and attachment to the scale
The life-changing power of shifting focus from external rules to internal cues and grace
The role of faith and community in healing, surrender, and practical recovery
How Lesley found peace, joy, and presence in her body—without chasing weight loss goals
If you’re tired of repeating the same health resolutions and want lasting change, this episode is an inspiring invitation to start your body image freedom journey.
