Faith can feel fragile when we’re walking through seasons of suffering, loss, or unanswered prayer. Illness, financial strain, broken relationships, and lingering silence from heaven can leave even the strongest believers wondering if their faith is enough.
In tonight's prayer and devotional, Jesus reminds us that even faith as small as a mustard seed is powerful when placed in Him. Our hope doesn’t rest in the size of our faith, but in the greatness of the One we trust.
Like the harsh winters that blanket Colorado, seasons of despair can feel endless and barren. Yet spring always comes, and with it, signs of new life. In the same way, even when our hearts feel cold and withered, God is still working beneath the surface, preparing growth and renewal.
Remember this truth: God has not abandoned you in your struggle. He sees you, hears you, and even now, Jesus is interceding for you (1 John 2:1). Your broken prayers matter to Him. Your tears are noticed. And His presence remains, even when your faith feels faint.
Tonight’s Scripture: Matthew 17:20
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Your Nightly Prayer
Father,
You know the heaviness I carry tonight. You see my doubts, fears, and questions. Sometimes my faith feels too small to hold on, but I know even a mustard seed of faith in You is enough. Shine Your light into my heart, remind me of Your nearness, and give me strength to trust You through this dark season. Thank You for being faithful, even when my faith is weak.
Amen.
Three Things to Meditate Upon
Even Jesus and Paul experienced unanswered prayers—yet God’s plan was greater.
The Psalms reveal that it’s okay to be honest with God about your despair. He can handle your questions.
Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3, faith trusts that God is with us in the fire—even before deliverance comes.
Calls to Action
Ask God to show you one “mustard seed” of hope in your current season—write it down and thank Him for it.

“High performers can hold it together—but that doesn’t mean it’s healthy.”
That’s how Julie Holly describes the tension she lived in for years. On the outside, she was a successful entrepreneur, coach, and podcaster. But on the inside, alcohol was becoming her go-to solution for stress, escape, and the ache of not belonging. And like many high-performers, her success masked the weight that alcohol was starting to become round her neck.
But a doctor’s curiosity and an honest comment from one of her children gave her the reality check she had been running from.
In this conversation, Julie opens up about how drinking became tied to belonging, how craft cocktails became a nightly ritual that both connected and slowly destroyed, and how a doctor’s gentle curiosity helped her finally face the truth.
In addition, she explains the quiet midnight wrestling matches she had with God, how mining her story of origin revealed abandonment wounds, and the courage it takes to name alcohol for what it really is.
This isn’t a rock-bottom story. It’s about a high achiever learning that freedom comes not from holding it all together, but from finally letting go.
We explore:
—Why high-functioning people struggle to admit alcohol is a problem
—How Julie’s drive for belonging fueled her drinking
—The danger of comparison and the “at least I’m not that bad” trap
—Why story work and exploring our past is essential for healing
—How God patiently pursues us through small moments and people
—The role of ego and elitism in justifying drinking
—Why midnight wrestling with God reveals deeper unrest
—The moment a doctor’s curiosity, not condemnation, opened her eyes
—How money spent on alcohol can be repurposed into kingdom work
—The freedom of realizing you belong because you belong to the Father

Today’s Bible Verse:
"Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’" — Mark 9:24
Mark 9:24 captures one of the most relatable prayers in all of Scripture. The desperate father believed Jesus could heal his son, yet he also admitted his struggle with doubt. Instead of hiding his weakness, he brought it honestly to Christ—and that’s where his faith grew.

A Prayer to Make the Hidden Things Known
Parenting young adults is a season marked by both joy and challenge. In today’s episode by Brooke McGlothlin, we explore the tension of releasing our children into independence while still feeling the weight of responsibility as parents. While we can no longer control their schedules, choices, or environments, God’s presence never leaves them. Even in places we cannot see or reach, He is there—leading, guiding, and holding them close.
Reference: Psalm 139: 7-12
Prayer: Father, I take such comfort in the fact that Even when I can't see my children, you can. There's nowhere they can go, nothing they can do, and no place they can hide, that they're outside the boundary of your love and your presence. Find them when they're in the dark and bring them into the light. In Jesus' name, amen.

These past few weeks have been full of evil and violence, but also with the sounds of revival!
How do we rightly respond to the evil and suffering that surrounds us?
In this timely conversation, I sit down with my husband, Dr. JP Jones, to explore the spiritual antidote to tragedies like assassinations, school shootings, and international conflict. Drawing from his years as a pastor and theologian, JP unpacks the root causes of moral decline while pointing us back to Scripture as our guide.
Together, we discuss how to channel righteous anger without slipping into unrighteous responses, and how to wield spiritual weapons—like prayer and truth—in today’s battles. This episode will challenge and encourage you to stand firm in faith, overcome evil with good, and trust God’s sovereignty even in chaos.

Christian community and biblical fellowship are essential for spiritual growth and protection from the enemy. In Our Need for Each Other, Cindi McMenamin explores Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 and Proverbs 18:1 to show why God created us for connection, not isolation. Drawing wisdom from Scripture and even from caterpillars in North Africa, this episode highlights how linking with other believers strengthens our faith, shields us from spiritual attack, and helps us live out the “one another” commands of the Bible.

Our Need for Each Other

“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
King Solomon, whom Scripture calls the wisest man who ever lived, told us there is strength in numbers when we are surrounding ourselves with at least one other believer.
But it’s just so easy these days to shoot a text or respond to someone via email instead of actually being with one another.
Life can get busy and we can too easily find ourselves isolating from one another. We may not intend to do it, but when our to-do list screams at us to be more productive, the needs from our family become too insistent, and the internal cry of ours is to get away from everyone and get some rest, we can end up on an island, feeling isolated and alone.
But linking up with other belie

Is it okay for New Testament Christians to pray imprecatory prayers asking God to curse their enemies? What about “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”? We discuss this question, spend some time in prayer, and explore Psalm 34, entitled Prayer for Rescue from Enemies.
Join us for this 17-minute meditation on Psalm 34, where David illustrates the spectrum of emotions we can experience through passionate prayer: it alternates between prayers of praise and prayers of lament over persecution from enemies.
