How do I build a relationship with Jesus?

John 15:4-5 (ERV)

Stay joined to me and I will stay joined to you. No branch can produce fruit alone.

It must stay connected to the vine. It is the same with you. You cannot produce fruit alone. You must stay joined to me. [5] "I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I to you, you will produce plenty of fruit . But separated from me you won't be able to do anything.

I'm not a naturally good "pray-er"

But when you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father. He is there in that private place. He can see what is done in private, and he will reward you.

THE SCHOOL OF COURAGE

(Acts 4:8-13) Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! (9) If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, (10) then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. (11) Jesus is"'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.' (12) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (13) When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

1.COURAGE STARTS ON THE INSIDE.

BE COURAGEOUS TO COME TO GOD.

(Ephesians 3:12) In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

BE COURAGEOUS IN CHURCH.

(Hebrews 3:6) But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

4.IT’S TIME TO SPEAK UP.

(Acts 4:18-20) Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. (19) But Peter and John replied, "Which is right in God's eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! (20) As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."

勇気の学校

1.勇気は内側から始まる

勇敢になって神様の下へ来る

（エペソ3：12）私たちはこのキリストにあり、キリストを信じる信仰によって大胆に確信をもって神に近づくことができるのです。

教会で勇敢になる

（へブル3：6）しかし、キリストは御子として神の家を忠実に治められるのです。もし私たちが、確信と、希望による誇りとを、終わりまでしっかりと持ち続けるならば、私たちが神の家なのです。

十字架 - ありえない交換のストーリー

1.イエス 私を思い出してください

‭‭ルカの福音書‬ ‭23:39-43‬ ‭JCB‬

「イエスの横で十字架につけられていた犯罪人の一人が、「あんたはメシヤなんだってなあ。だったら、自分とおれたちを救ってもよさそうなもんだ。どうなんだ」とののしりました。 しかし、もう一人の犯罪人は、それをたしなめました。「この期に及んで、まだ神を恐れないのか！　おれたちは悪事を働いたんだから、報いを受けるのはあたりまえだ。だが、このお方は悪いことは何もしなかったのだ。」そして、イエスにこう頼みました。「イエス様。御国に入る時、どうぞ私を思い出してください。」 イエスはお答えになりました。「あなたは今日、わたしといっしょにパラダイス（天国）に入ります。」」

2.恵み - 値しない愛

2.Grace - undeserved love

(8) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

3.Jesus exchanged his life for me and you

Jesus is building the church!!

Matthew 16:18 NIV

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites---everyone whose heart God had moved---prepared to go up and build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem.

Everyone is involved in building the house of God.

Not equal giving but equal sacrifice

Ezra 2:68-69 MSG

Some of the heads of families, on arriving at The Temple of GOD in Jerusalem, made Freewill-Offerings toward the rebuilding of The Temple of God on its site. They gave to the building fund as they were able, about 1,100 pounds of gold, about three tons of silver, and 100 priestly robes.

「感謝！祝福を止めない」

ルカ 17:11-19（ALIVE訳）

イエスはガリラヤ地方を去り、サマリヤ地方との境界線に沿って90㎞南方にある神殿の都エルサレムを目指して旅を続けた——ある村に入ると、10人の男たちが皮膚病を持っているがゆえにイエスと距離をとったまま、叫んできた。「イエスさま~~！！！私たちをお救いくださ~~い！！！」「ああ、祭司に見てもらえッ！」——【掟:皮膚病が治ったら祭司から完治診断書をもらうのが決まりだったのだ】10人ともイエスの言うとおり祭司のもとへ出かけて行った。その途中、ことは起きた・・・「！」「！」「！」い、いつのまにか全員治っているではないか！そのうちの１人は、治ったことに気付き、大声で神をほめたたえながら帰ってきた。男はイエスの足元に飛びつき額をこすりつけながら、死ぬほど感謝した。ちなみにこの男、ユダヤ人から差別されているサマリヤ人であった。「ん？10人治したはずだが、他の９人はどうした。・・・神を讃えに戻ったのが同族でもない、この男のみとはな・・・」直後、イエスは笑みを浮かべた。「よく信じた！おかげであなたは治された！さあ、立って行くんだッ！！」

Gifts - (Part 2): 7 Men - Overflow with Gifts

John 7:37-39 (CSB)

(37) On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. (38) The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him. (39) He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Romans 12:6 (NIV)

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;

Grace - Gift —> Joy (all words are rooted together and need to be seen together).

Gifts are linked to faith - or putting gifts to work asap - as soon as possible.

The Problem

(1) In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. The Solution = 7 Men with Management and People gifts

(3) Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them (4) and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” (5) This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. (6) They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.

問題

使徒6:1-2 (JCB)

(1) 信者の数がどんどん増えるにつれて、内部から不満の声が出るようになりました。信者の中のギリシヤ語を話すユダヤ人たちが、ヘブル語を話すユダヤ人たちに苦情をぶつけたのです。原因は、彼らのうちの未亡人たちが、毎日の食料の配給で差別されていることでした。(2)そこで十二人の使徒は、信者全員を召集し、こう提案しました。「私たち使徒が食料の配給の問題に時間をさくのは、よくありません。何よりも、神のことばを伝えることに専念すべきです。

解決策=管理力と対人スキルの才能を持った７人

使徒6:3-6 (JCB)

(3) そこで、愛する皆さん。この仕事にふさわしい人、賢明で、聖霊に満たされた人に、いっさいを任せることにしましょう。さあ回りをよく見回して、この人と思う人を七人選んでください。(4)そうすれば私たちは、祈りと説教と教育に打ち込むことができます。」(5)全員がこの提案に賛成し、次の人たちを選びました。ステパノ〔聖霊に満たされた信仰深い人物〕、ピリポ、プロコロ、ニカノル、テモン、パルメナ、アンテオケのニコラオ〔ユダヤ教に改宗していた外国人で、クリスチャンになった人物〕。(6)以上の七名が前に立ったので、使徒たちは彼らのために祈り、彼らに手を置いて祝福しました。
