Perspective- A point of view
SO I quit my 9-5 job today and there were a lot of variables that played into that.
See my Perspective of why I quit my job just after 2 in a half months of working there!
You only live once so do whatever you feel is right! (at the same time logical)
NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION WEEK
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH - SEPTEMBER 14TH
Everyone lives in their own bubble man. I just wanted to do this episode to spread awareness for suicide prevention week. I overslept so I posted this late but here are some mainey statistics.
In 2017 47,173 Americans that died from suicide
Estimated 1,400,000 suicide attempts
10th leading cause of death
Statistics are provided from the American foundation for suicide prevention
Things that can put an individual at a higher risk for suicide in the short term include:
•an episode of depression, psychosis, or anxiety
•a significant loss, such as the death of a partner or the loss of a job
•a personal crisis or life stress, especially one that increases a sense of isolation or leads to a loss of self-esteem, such as a breakup or divorce
•loss of social support, for example, because of a move or when a close friend relocates
•an illness or medication that triggers a change in mood
•exposure to the suicidal behaviors of others, such as friends, peers, or celebrities.
From my personal experience, the death of my grandpa put me into a long period of depression. My grandpa, who is a father figure to me, that spoiled me so much when I was baby, that I was probably heavier then than now. Due to all the food, he would feed me. The same person that loved me like his son because he didn't have a son of his own (he had my wonderful mom and three beautiful aunts tho). Yea, I saw him die on a hospital bed because every organ in his body was slowly deteriorating on him and I saw him take his last disdainful breath.
Yea, after that incident I don't think I have ever felt that low in my life. I turned to Snapchat and drinking a sh*t ton of alcohol to Co-Op with it. As I said, no one could tell how I was feeling in my bubble. All my friends, classmates, & family members just saw Ryan turning up every weekend and drinking a sh*t ton for fun. Cause he's just a fun guy. But little do they know deep inside, I never felt so sh*tty in my life.
This was really hard to share thanks for reading guys!
Like I said if there was one lesson from this podcast enjoy every moment you have with your friends, family members, co-workers, etc. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY! DON'T BE AN A**HOLE!
Sorry it’s been a while guys I’ll be posting one episode per week instead of two cause I’m trying my best to finish my book, LIFE IS MAINEY.
Change
Change is growth and growth requires change
As you grow older you begin to see the people that have a common interest and goal as you. It’s not that your better than your friends, people, & places that you were so accustomed to, it just shows change and the person you’re becoming.
It’s been on my mind a lot that maybe I need a new scenario or to move out the city to really find who I am. But I honestly think that’s just an excuse. I feel like as humans we tend to make a lot of excuses for everything. People are scared of change and I’m not excluded from that feeling.
Instead of moving from the city I should be exploring new ventures of it and meeting the people that will benefit who I’m trying to be aka network. I’m trying to pick up stand up comedy so my goal is to head to the comedy clubs and just meet all these comedians and see the process.
It’s not that a person is trapped in the city. It’s the routine that traps them. Aka bored of your job, doing the same shit with your friends, & everything is just a constant. You don’t have to drastically move out from your city but rather be the change you want to be in you. Take the right steps to build your brand and find the real You. Just be TRUE TO SELF.
Do people generalize a person base on where they came from?
.
I personally think yes. I felt offended because someone mentioned me in a discussion where I was being generalize, but I thought it was really interesting.
.
They asked if I was FOB like Asian or if I was ghetto (she thought it was good if I was from the ghetto)? Does that really matter? Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t choose to live in the Tenderloin. It was more of, my parents didn’t have a choice. Although it could’ve been worse, due to the fact that I had a better household then an average ghetto household (given we had food on the table (shoutout EBT) and never starved) and both our parents were always around.
Episode 9 - MOTHER NATURE (LINK IN BIO)
.
JAIR BOLSONARO, Brazil’s current president, is an ignorant corrupt president. During his time as president he has not given two sh*ts about the Amazon in Brazil. Since his reign as president, deforestation was 88% higher in June than a year earlier.
.
The amazon provides 20% of the oxygen in the earths atmosphere! The Amazon is considered to be the lungs of the earth ❤️!
.
We are in a state of Tera Nova in which humans have never been exposed to this much carbon emission during our time on earth! We are undergoing the sixth mass extinction and many temperature spikes all around the world.
.
As a society and protectors of the earth we need to change our priorities and put climate change above all else. The Earth is our home! On the next presidential election use your votes wisely and vote on a candidate that knows the value of our earth! And for all those that are skeptical about climate change, YOU’RE A FUCK*ING IDIOT.
Episode 8 - YOU
F*CK your family name. Do what makes you happy! If you're doing something for someone else aka family, friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, etc. you ain't living your life for YOU. Just because you don't give a fuck about your family name that doesn't mean you don't love them or your not going to care for them. That's the thing with Asian culture, they care more about their reputation and family name over their kids happiness. TUNE IN AS I GO IN ABOUT THIS!
It all starts with you! You control your own destiny.
I think it's really important to have a purpose in life because there is a correlation between purpose and a healthy state of mind.
Think about it, if you wake up everyday and you're just not happy about your life or the day at hand, then I think you haven't found your purpose. Once you wake up with a purpose in mind, then you can't wait to get up, to start your day!
Once you wake up and you have a purpose in mind then its going to drive you each and everyday. Also your not going to develop your purpose overnight. My purpose has been developed through everything Ive experienced in life
What is your purpose?
Everyone has their own definition of love and in this episode I’ll tell you about mine. Also mentioning what the difference is between a healthy and unhealthy relationship (I’ve been through both). Pet peeve: when couples check each other’s phones constantly (unhealthy trait that shows trust issues).... but anyways a relationship consists of two people so you need to play your part. ⠀⠀
Everyone has that one friend that goes through that phase and says, “I’m not drinking anymore” and a day later goes out and drink. Trust me I’ve been there! TAG THAT FRIEND y’all
