Trust in God, who is faithful and true and is to be exalted. All forms of idolatry are worthless and futile and we hold on to them at our peril. We were created to worship only God.

Psalm 42 provides a beautiful example of how, in times of suffering and despair, we can still remain hopeful and obedient in praising and trusting in God.

Those who seek the Lord are doubly blessed, both in this life and the life to come. Those who seek their own way will perish. God has set before everyone two choices. Choose life!

Followers of Jesus Christ are to pray in faith, confess our sins to one another and to God, and to reach out to others. Confession, healing and salvation all are rooted in PRAYER.

Christ is returning. Waiting on that day requires patience and endurance. As we wait we need to continue to live lives that honor the Lord.

Judgment awaits for those who willfully reject the Savior and instead place their hope in riches in the last days. As believers we are to practice humility, self-sacrifice, and generosity.

Life is short and entirely in the hands of God. Boasting about what we will do in the future is a waste of time and energy. Number your days and trust God for the future.

God is the final judge of human lives and behavior. It is wise to leave judgment in his capable hands. Speaking evil and stirring up dissention within the body of Christ passes judgment on God and his law.

Our evil desires are the cause of our fights and quarrels. The solution to our fights and quarrels is to repent of our evil desires and replace them with Jesus, who is more than enough.
