Sierra was raised by two incredible military parents who guided her with faith.   Sierra used the challenge of moving all over the country as a way to develop her best self.   Blessed with dedication and work ethic, Sierra had 30 plus Division 1 basketball scholarships.  Sierra played at Belmont University and then went on to play professionally in Spain.   Sierra felt a calling and her journey lead her to ministry.   Sierra is the CEO and Founder of Redeemed Ministries (www.youareredeemed.com) and is the author of Have Faith Like Noah and her future book - Ladies Edition - Date Night.   In this episode, Sierra will take us to church.  Sierra is a breath of fresh air, is focused on doing God's work, it driven to help all people, and is grounded in servant leadership.   A dose of Sierra is what this world needs!

1.  Prioritize - Specifically, Sierra recommends to learn how to say NO.  Being a servant, Sierra wants to help all people but she also understands there are limits to doing so.
2.  Date Night - Sierra recommends to journal.   Sierra has two different types of journaling.  In one journaling practice she writes all her thoughts/feelings/emotions and in the second, she uses the book Jesus is Calling by Sara Young as her spiritual guide.  
3.  If Sierra was President of the United States - her first action she would take is to provide COMFORT.    Specifically, Sierra would get out to the people and see what she could do to help with the challenges they are facing.

Uncle Johnny Matesich was born in New Orleans to loving and hard working Croatian immigrant parents.  At the young age of four, Johnny's parents decided to move to San Pedro, California and the rest is history!  Johnny went on and continues to achieve more than what 10, 20, or even 30 people combined, would hope to achieve in their lifetimes.  

 Johnny is an educator who loves to teach.  Johnny is a lifeguard of 57 years who holds 56 National Titles.  At the young age of 60 Johnny decided to take up boxing.   Yes, you guessed it, Johnny decided to teach boxing and did so for the next 22 years.  Johnny is a photojournalist who has thousands of people following his worldly escapades.   

Johnny is a believer in many things including: STAYING IN LOVE WITH LIFE, WHEN YOU HELP OTHERS GOOD THINGS HAPPEN, BE HUMBLE, BE HONEST, BE A GIVER AND NOT A TAKER, MANNERS CAN TAKE YOU WHERE MONEY CAN'T and one of his favorites he borrowed from his trip to Australia, LIFE BE IN IT!   

Johnny modeled his life philosophy from his parents and then applied it to one of his favorite sports - baseball.  Johnny will take you around the bases with what he feels is truly ESSENTIAL.  And yes, did I forget to mention, Johnny played multiple sports including baseball for the legendary Long Beach State Dirtbags.   Johnny will entertain you and for sure, will make you want to get up, start moving and grow young.   Please enjoy this episode of Life's Essential Ingredients!
