Now this is a podcast ep I wish I had before starting year 12.
At school from year 7-11, you are cruising through. Doing the work you need to for the year, having fun with your mates and enjoying the summer holidays. It was routine. Then all of a sudden ... BAM.
You are in year 12, you are not going back to school the next year, all your classmates are going different paths, family members asking left right and centre "what do you want to do after school, what career do you want to get into?" In year 12, you are faced with the pressure of not just studying, but deciding what seems to be your entire future. What am I meant to do, what career do I want and do I even want to go to uni?
If you're about to step into Year 12 feeling overwhelmed, unorganized, or just plain unsure of how to make it all work — this episode is for you! We'll dive into practical tips for staying on top of your studies, dealing with career pressure, and navigating the chaos of the final year.
Already finished Year 12? This one's perfect for a nostalgic trip down memory lane! 💭

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing time spent with loved ones over the Xmas break. Whenever it comes to the end of one year, a rush of motivation and excitement can come over us to set all these ambitious goals for the year ahead. Come January 1st, we feel that we are starting off from a blank state and that we can conquer the world. But, how many of us can actually get through to the end of the year, revisit the goals we set ourselves and can truly say that they actually achieved them? I know I am guilty of this.
On the first episode of 2025, I explain the 4 key barriers that prevent you from achieving your New Year's Resolution as well as give you 6 practical strategies to ensure that you achieve your New Year's Resolution for 2025 and set yourself up for success. Only around 8% of people can stick with their resolutions through till the end of the year ... I want to ensure that you are in that 8%.

I am fortunate enough today to be joined by Leong, the founder of lifespan education which is an organisation dedicated to promoting the joy of learning.
A viral video of Leong popped up on my Tiktok FYP, where he says that his goal is for his kids to have an awesome life and that does not necessarily mean that he has to be an awesome dad for them to achieve that.
He touches on how he believes that the social media landscape today concerns him and how we can help to shape it into something different for the future generation, to be a positive place where likeminded people can connect with each other and support one another. After watching that video, I knew I had to get Leong as a guest on my podcast.
On this episode, we speak about the variety of career paths Leong has navigated through over the course of his life so far, the importance of human interaction, not forgetting your roots when chasing a goal, the importance of experimentation when young, the role of failure in personal growth, the pressures of academic performance, lifespan education, finding enjoyment in your work as well as many other topics.
If you want to reach out to Leong or discover more about him, be sure to check the links below!
Be sure to check out Leong's video "How to Achieve a Balanced Life" which we touched on during the episode:
