On today’s episode I speak with singer, guitarist, and Ireland’s “rising star of jazz” Charlie Moon.

He speaks with me today about the untimely death of his eldest sister Claire, how the combined grief within this family has brought them closer together, and how a little street in Wicklow town has connected them to their sister and daughter.

Charlie also speaks to me about the authors, books & beliefs that have helped him understand life and death, and we discuss the full circle of birth, death and life as he prepares to become a Father for the first time.

I found this conversation with Charlie fascinating – his deep insight into his grief is remarkable, and I feel I learnt a lot about my own grief from chatting with him.

**TW Cancer/ Stomach Cancer**

On today’s episode I speak with Julie Vandingenen about her wonderful fiancé Louis.

Julie and Louis were childhood sweethearts meeting as teenagers in school in France. They lived a full, fun-filled, adventurous life together for the 9 years they had. Louis died at just 26 years old to stomach cancer, and today Julie tells us about how she lived through that grief at such a young age, and how initially it drove her to move as far away as possible, to now in recent years where it brought her to set up her business Lovingly Box – which sell beautiful care packages for the harder days in life.

Sinéad’s Dad died by suicide when she was just in her early twenties, and her grief rocked her completely and utterly to the core.

Today we talk about how primal grief actually is, the ancient Irish tradition of Keening, and how her grief has led her to a greater understanding of pain, lightness and life.

**TW Cancer and Brain Glioblastoma**

On the very first episode of 'Life's Too Short' I speak with Dominique McMullan. Editorial Director of Image.ie, Writer, Presenter, Mum of two young boys, and just all round lovely person.

Dominique lost her Dad after a very short illness – only 6months from diagnosis to passing. Today she tells us how she started her grieving process before her Dad had passed, parenting two young children whilst grieving the loss of her own parent, and how sometimes she finds gratitude in her grieving journey.

This is a really beautiful conversation, and there is such a lovely lightness that comes from Dominique, I hope you find it as illuminating as I have.
