We learn from the book of Ephesians chapter 6:10-15, how our battle on earth is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers. We are reminded to be alert and put on God’s whole armor so that we may stand on the evil day. This also admonishes us to view the world in a different way, seeing it from the point of the ongoing spiritual warfare.

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”

Exodus 3:14. Obviously we can't learn everything about God because He is God. However, there are somethings and some actions He has and still shows to us that helps us to know who exactly our God is. God is so awesome. Its amazing that our God wants us to be like Him and He is not terrified by our questions. God is amazing. Listen, be blessed and feel free to share.

God wants us to be a house of prayer because we are altars or rather our hearts serve as His altar. When we accept Christ our heart, our hearts become His altar. An altar is a raised platform where sacrifices are made. its a place were sacrifices are made so the spiritual can have legal access to the physical. God wants us to live a life of prayer because He wants us to guard His altar, He wants our lives to bear the fruit that being an altar or having an altar for Him_brings forth. Its a privilege to be an altar for God. God is specific and God wants His altar to be a certain way and He wants the sacrifices we make to be a certain way. That's what being a house of prayer or living a life of prayer is all about. Its about living a live of love, life of daily Communion with God, the life we were ought to live. We dont have to wait to we go to a physical altar before we can give a sacrifice to God. His altar is us_our heart and thats why we need to live the way He wants us to live because that the sacrifice that His pleasing to Him. If we aren't houses of prayers, then we are den of thieves. Let’s try to understand this; why would God go through all the process of Jesus dying and eventually leading to the Holy Spirit dwelling in us if He didn’t have a goal/ aim. Do we really believe that the Holy Spirt living in us is an accessory, or just added information? Of course not. If God has come to dwell in us it’s because it is necessary.

And why? So that we’re never out of fellowship. And I know we’ve said this here so many times that prayer isn’t about the place or about the time or even about the position you take. It’s about communication/ communion/ fellowship and understanding. Because God is on the inside of us, we can have a conversation with Him that never comes to an end. An ongoing conversation for the rest of our lives. And I believe this is how it’s meant to be.

For you to be successful in anything in life, you have to be intentional. The same principle applies in our walk with God_and we thank God He gave is His Holy Spirit to help us as we live intentionally for Him. To have a successful prayer life, you have to be intentional about it. Our walk with God is personal, so its important we know what works best for us. Do you like writing, or do you like drawing? Whats an unconventional way by which you like to communicate that is different from what others will term the right way to communicate with God?

Prayer is talking to God and it starts from a place of love. A lot of things were discussed in this session. Be blessed as you listen.

Jesus is our perfect example. If we are to live intentionally for Him then we must emulate all He did with the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught how to pray and lived a life of daily communion with God. He always knew the heart of the Father. Jesus prayed without ceasing. He prayed as He was getting baptized, He prayed as He chose His disciples, He retreated to pray, He prayed before He got crucified, He prayed in agony, He prayed as He healed, set people free, multiplied food and so on. Jesus Christ was intentional with all He did and one of the acts He was very intentional about was His prayer life. He wanted us to truly understand that we have to always pray to have a successful life. That was what He always did and that was why His disciples had to ask, Lord, teach us how to pray__.
