Welcome back for episode 9 of Lift The Curtain, the podcast where talk to people in the creative industry, in its widest spectrum.
From this week, and over the summer, i'll be releasing episode every other Wednesday, to give myself a bit of breathing room, and focus on making the best content i can! We should be back on normal schedule later in the year, and will keep on putting out great chit chats until then!
Today we're talking to Lindsay Melbourne, a London photographer based in Sheffield. Her work has been featured in the NME, Clash Magazine, Kerrang and DIY to name but a few. She’s photographed many amazing bands and artists such as JOHN, Los Bitchos, Daisy Lowe, Yak, Black Honey, Bambara, Jamie T, Idles and many more.
And speaking of Idles, she was also associate producer to the Bristolian band’s movie documentary Don't Go Gentle by director Mark Archer, who came out last year, as well as the founder of gigantic online community and IDLES fan club AF Gang
We talk about motherhood, her beginnings in photography, some of the biggest gigs she covered, how to become a successful photographer, how to get published, and a myriad of other things!
