In this message, Pastor Chris spoke on JOY. He talked about how Jesus is our greatest example of living in the JOY of the Lord; he shared with us the JOY that we can experience through knowing Jesus - whatever the circumstances around us.

Ps Chris talked about the incredible JOY that it brings our God when we choose Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives and receive salvation. There is celebration in heaven when one person chooses to follow Jesus. There is such JOY in the eyes of our God when He looks upon us - we were reminded that the Bible says He rejoices over us with singing! What a beautiful image!

In this message, Pastor Stephen explored what the Bible says about PEACE and spoke on the peace of Jesus and the 'perfect peace' that is available to us as we fix our minds on Him. We were encouraged to step into the peace of Jesus through:

1) KNOWING Him

2) TRUSTING Him

3) BEING WITH Him

We were asked the question: are you trusting in Him? Is your mind fixed on Him? Or is it on the storm?

Remember to take time to just be with Jesus this week - no agenda, questions, Christmas wish-list... just be in the presence of Jesus and allow yourself to be filled with His peace.

This is the final week of our series, Stories Jesus Told. In this episode, Pastor Jonny Leech shares on the story of The Rich Farmer. Following a move of the Spirit during our worship time, Pastor Jonny's message takes a slightly different angle and we are encouraged to:

1) Not worry about the future - God gives us new mercies every day so we should trust in Him day by day.

2) Be ready - either for Jesus coming again or calling us home. Are you ready for that? How are you helping others to be ready

3) Live a blessed life - our inheritance is in Jesus and when we live in His way, we don't need to worry, we will be ready when the time comes and we will experience His blessings.

Welcome to the fourth week and the next instalment in our series, Stories Jesus Told. In this episode, Pastor Stephen Baines shares on The Hidden Treasure and The Precious Pearl. Stephen highlighted that the people in these parables had to sell everything in order to inherit the treasure and focused in on the cost of being a disciple, or follower, of Jesus. We were encouraged to give everything over to God in our walk with Him, to trust that He has our best interests at heart and to follow the example of Jesus as we examine the cost. 

Stephen asked us the question, "Are you sold out for God or holding on to earthly things?" - are we giving God all of it or keeping some things behind for ourselves? 

It is only when we lose sight of the cost on Jesus to make a way for us to be back in right relationship with Him, that we feel the cost of discipleship for us is too high.

We are reminded that there are true and false disciples - it's not simply enough to say that Jesus is Lord, we have to act like He is Lord; it's not enough to say that Jesus is Lord of our lives, we have to act it out too!

Pastor Jonny shows us how, when we look at what Jesus was saying just before the story of the House on the Rock, it takes it from a Sunday School tale, to a high impact statement Jesus makes on how we really should live our lives.

In a special one-off message, as part of our Spiritual Formation Weekend, Pastor Chris talks about how to recognise and steward a move of the Spirit in terms of our faith. We are given the example from 1 Samuel 14 of Jonathan and his armour bearer who placed their trust completely in God.

We are challenged to share testimonies and speak about what God is doing which in turn ignites faith in others and people around us feel empowered to trust in God too.

We hope that this message empowers you and encourages you to trust all the more in an amazing, trustworthy, faithful God who holds all things in His hands.

Generosity releases the power of greed in your life;

It releases us from the power of materialism;

It's good for our character - generosity isn't something we do, it's something we are;

We get to be part of building His kingdom when we give!
