Lights Out Bedtime Stories for Boys and Girls

This is the first of a planned 13 part series of stories about Peter and the 12 Rules for Life (taken from Jordan Peterson's book - The 12 Rules for Life.

Each story will focus on a rule, told as a children's story - Improvised after I have read the corresponding chapter of the book.

It's a challenge for myself and I hope to impart some wisdom through the medium of story that will reach through to our youth's minds and hearts

Billy was a lonely child who was fed up! Until one day when he finds a little box on his doorstep. Inside the box was a delicate little handwritten note and on the note was written: "Follow the Blue Whale" After days, weeks and months of looking after himself, as usual - warming up the cold dinners that his mum prepares the night before and getting ready for bed all by himself, Billy's life takes an interesting turn. An adventure begins. And all because Billy followed the Blue Whale. This is part 2 of 4 Billy learns why he was taken to the magical ship but is ill-prepared for the dangers that await him.

This is the short story of John who woke up one morning scared to open his eyes, and how eventually he overcame his fear with the help of his dad and the fear setting workbook he found on the internet. John finally realised that he couldn't keep his eyes closed forever and so opened them to see his dad in tears.

**This story was recorded while putting my baby to sleep on my shoulder...

Billy was a lonely child who was fed up. Until one day he finds a little note on his doorstep that tells him to "Follow the Blue Whale"

After days of looking after himself, as usual, warming up the cold food prepared by his mum the day before and getting ready for bed all by himself day after day Billy's life takes an interesting turn - An adventure begins. All because he followed the Blue Whale. This is part 1 of 4.

This longer story is about a girl, Sarah who lived near the top of a tall tower in a bustling city. One day, at the start of her summer holidays her mum and dad didn't return home. She had to look after herself. She was a girl who turned her fear into excitement however when she had not eaten for days her hunger and anger took over until.... she imagined a piece of chocolate into reality. Step by step She used her abilities to imagine into reality food, money, paper and pencils, signed letters, and eventually her parents...

I am not happy with the rushed ending of this story and there could have been more emphasis on Sarah's uncertainty on the reason for her ability - was it the chair, the bowl, the cereal box so that when she had them all boxed away ready for moving away forever she realized both that the ability was within her all along and it also brought her parents back...

I am going to think about this again - like the tent that wanted to be a school....

However - I still hope you enjoy it!

This story is about a house that moved family. The family was getting too small for the house so it decided it was time to move to a bigger family.

Originally an improvised story 'Edithina' has made it to print. I loved reading one of my own books - You can get for FREE here:

You can't help but love this story - Edithina is famous for losing and hiding things and news of this talent spreads across the ocean to three Pirates who all want Edithina to hide their treasure for them,

Emma was always in-between until she wasn't.

This is the first version. Fuller version to follow
