What does it mean to be a boss without being bossy? Well, you may have your own definition but experience tells me that many bosses have no idea of the answer. And, that in itself is a travesty.
If you are among the "many" don't feel bad. I'm not judging just stating a fact. It took me years to learn how to "manage" without an iron fist. But, I did turn that iron fist into wide open arms. It's a delicate balance, especially for first-time managers. Even the skilled and seasoned bosses have to check their styles often and flex when necessary.
In this episode, we hear from Gary Skraba, an experienced Financial and Marketing Executive with a track record of success. Gary received his BA in Economics from Occidental College and his MBA in Marketing at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School.
Listen as Gary's describes different types of "bad" bosses and how to spot a good boss. You will know if you are too bossy or too lenient by the end. This is a call to action for all managers, leaders, and emerging leaders to be better bosses!
