  • 67: The Reality of Satan

“The Truth Shall Make You Free” (John 8:32)

Have you ever found out that someone has been lying to you, and that those lies have been affecting your thoughts and the way you’ve been living every day?

The truth is that we may all be listening to lies - and living our lives in accordance with those lies - and not even know it.

In this episode of the Like Dragons Did They Fight Podcast, Karen Broadhead leads three other Eternal Warriors coaches in a discussion about the reality of Satan (the ‘thief’*) and his efforts to feed us lies and to steal our identity. They introduce a tool that can help you recognize those lies, replace them with truth, and go forward armed with greater strength than ever before.

The tool, called the TRUTH tool, consists of 4 steps to help you discern the lies; restore the truth; unite with God and our Savior to draw upon Their strength; and then use a powerful weapon to cast out the adversary and his minions so you can live in the light and peace that come with knowing the truth of your real worth and your eternal identity.

Join us - and learn how you can be free from the lies of the one who seeks to destroy us all.

*The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. - John 10:10

It can be done - and with a coach to guide you and a support group striving for the same goals, all drawing on the enabling power of the Atonement of our Savior, it can be a glorious journey. • 63: Identity and Purpose

Are you ever frustrated in your efforts to actually live all the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that you’ve known for years, but you can’t seem to make a daily part of your life?

Does your life seem too messy to fix, and too hard to endure with any measure of happiness?

In this, the second episode of the Like Dragons Did They Fight Podcast, Karen Broadhead leads four Life Changing Coaches in a discussion about the great power that comes from remembering who we are (children of a loving, all-powerful God, with a present and redeeming Savior) and remembering our purpose (to fight for His cause and to find joy in joining ranks with others in that battle.)

In a BYU Devotional, Elder Tad R. Callister spoke of a time when President Nelson was asked, “How can we help those struggling with pornography?” President Nelson replied, “Teach them their identity and purpose.” That answer applies to any self-mastery challenge, and to anything we do that is outside our values system.

The first lesson in the Eternal Warriors course is all about our identity and purpose, and we teach that once we remember those two truths, we gain vision, hope, and the strength to fight whatever battles we are engaged in. As we employ tools that help us put on the whole armor of God daily, and that keep us aligned with the Savior, He can help us manage the mess, and endure what is hard - and do so with joy!

Come listen in and learn how, even in the hard times, we really can sing with all our hearts, “Happy are we; happy are we!” *
