In this podcast episode, Karen is joined by guest Sally Alley, the mother of a 17-year old son who had been caught in the snare of pornography for 5 years, but who overcame it.  Sally talks about her son and his journey through pornography and being falsely accused of things, and specifically how the journey was for her. She talks about what it’s like to be the mother and parents who did everything they could to keep their children safe from porn, but it still happened.

Sally and Karen also talk about the importance of talking to kids and knowing that they will see porn and to be prepared beyond just the usual. Finally, she talks about the risks of snapchat and other online social media outlets teenagers are using.

Satan has been lying to you. 

And you’ve been believing him. 

How do we know? 

Because he does it to all of us. It’s just what he does, and he's good at it. 

He is, after all, the father of lies,* and his goal is to make us each as miserable as he can. If you’ve felt discouraged, if you’ve felt angry, if you’ve felt shamed, or critical, unworthy or inadequate, you’ve likely been a target of his lies. And you’ve likely felt the negative emotions that his lies can create.

“I did it again! When will I ever learn? What’s wrong with me?”

Have you ever had thoughts like that? Do you ever find yourself repeating a negative, self-defeating behavior that stops your progress and brings you shame, or that causes others pain?

Here at Eternal Warriors, we call those experiences when we act outside our values system “Lost Battles”, and in today’s podcast, we discuss how analyzing our lost battles actually gives us power to make real change.

Professional athletes are well-acquainted with Lost Battle Analyses. They may even do one after every match or game. Reviewing the tapes, they carefully watch to see what they did, and what it led to, and how they can improve the next time to have a better outcome.
