Lemmy is a 7-month-old Bully Breed Mix puppy, with beautiful brindle coloring and soft fur. He has a very joyful personality and loves life, every person, and every dog. Although Lemmy is still a puppy and has some puppy goofiness, he also has an “old man” side. He is pretty calm and likes to play, but when he is done playing, he will plop down in some of the most uncomfortable-looking positions to nap. Lemmy loves to go for walks and does not pull. He knows some basic commands and loves to perform, especially for food. House training is still a work-in-progress, but he is making terrific progress. Lemmy is currently living with several cats and has been very good with them. Lemmy is a sweet boy who you will not regret taking a chance on. He will brighten your days and bring a smile to your face.

Featured Topic: Encouragement for Pet Guardians
Earlier this month, The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter shared that pet owners often give up their pets to shelters due to feelings of inadequacy. Reasons such as working full-time, limited living space, and lifestyle guilt are often cited as reasons for surrendering their cherished companions. However, the shelter encourages pet guardians to keep their pets: your home, family, and the time you share with your pets truly matter.
While various circumstances can unfortunately lead to pet surrender, animal shelters across the country are in crisis, as there are more adoptable pets than there are people able to adopt. Pet guardians who may be experiencing lifestyle guilt are encouraged to reach out to the shelter to discuss possible solutions to keep their pets happy and at home.
