Being LIMB-itless is more than just archery, tree saddles and backcountry hunting. Funtional fitness, running, fishing and other outdoor endeavors fuel life without boundaries or limb-itations. LIMB-itless Outdoors has leased and/or purchased whitetail hunting property over the past 7 years, and manually worked and prepped said property without the assistance of UTV's or tractors. This episode has been long overdue. My connection with Robin Parks and Hot Shot Archery began via email and their generous support of my 501(c)(3) the A3G Initiative. Just shy of a year after we began communicating via email, we found ourselves in an elevator, unbeknownst to each other, at the Archery Trade Association show. The interaction has continued to grow.

Robin shares some background on Hot Shot Archery, we discuss the different options offered by Hot Shot and we dive into the apprehensions I have in making the switch from a caliper-style wrist release to a hand-held thumb button. 

Robin is an accomplished archer, a wealth of knowledge regarding quality bow releases, and an absolute pleasure to converse with. I hope you all enjoy listening to this episode half as much as I enjoyed recording it.

Nick the Great visits LIMB-itless Outdoors proper and spends 5 days enjoying a liberating vacation over the 4th of July holiday. Amongst the many activities experienced during the visit, Nick was introduced to the world of the eastern whitetail, more specifically "mock scrape-ology".

Nick has some experience pursing blacktail deer and roosevelt elk, he has yet to experience the thrill of chasing whitetail. The two compadres loaded the side-by-by and headed out to a spot where a mock scrape, more specifically a scrape rope, was needing to be established, hang a new camera and locate a spot for a ground blind.

The humidity was as high as the spirits, and we certainly fall down a few rabbit holes while "pawing" at the topic of mock scrapes. As always, the banter with Nick the Great is witty and entertaining.

What do you get when you mix Total Archery Challenge with a Tough Mudder? The Beast Mode Archery Challenge!

Hailing out of Wisconsin, The Beast Mode Archery Challenge was created by archer, hunter and fitness professional Brian Austin. Brian's dream was to incorporate his sports and fitness background and passion for big game hunting into a dynamic series of archery challenges.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to attend the Beast Mode Endurance Challenge. This is where I met Brian in person, other archery enthusiasts and left the Tyrol Basin Ski slopes with some great friends and memories. I have been a huge fan and supporter ever since.

Episode 11 was recorded in a rustic Air BnB in Stanton, Kentucky, which happens to be a stone’s throw away from the GAS Bowstring facility.
