  • Limelight Highlight "Agent Luis Ortiz" *40*
Today on the podcast we're joined by my long time child hood friend Luis Ortiz. I've known Luis since the 2nd grade and he came out to California to visit. We had a good time exploring a bunch of little spots throughout San Diego. He agreed to do the podcast with me and dropped some pretty good knowledge on what it is to be a realtor and some of the misconceptions that people usually have on purchasing a home or about realty in general. I hope you enjoy the tips and gems he added into this podcast and share it with people who might need some of the advice. If you need more information on realty you can always email Luis directly at

  • Limelight Highlight "LEGO for the Blind" *39*
On this episode of the podcast we go over how two people made such a wave they got LEGO to start putting instructions for visually impaired children so they didn't feel left out and could build and enjoy LEGO as any other kid. From audio and braille instructions LEGO is helping ensure all kids have the opportunity to enjoy building and learning. Our listener news comes from Hakeem and ESPN on how the owner of the LA Clippers is making a difference in the city of Inglewood and trying to help the community as a whole by investing money rather than the usual gentrifying of neighborhoods so they can collect a profit. Last listener news come from Andy who shared with us an interview of the Daily Show with Trevor Noah about Greta who is a 16 year old climate activist and how she shares the importance of being mindful and getting educated on how serious climate change is and how much of an impact it is affecting us. All this and more on today's episode!

  • Limelight Highlight "Jack Costello Boxing Club" *33*
Back in Philly! This is our first podcast interview while we were in Philly. On this episode of the podcast we had the honor of getting to meet Patrick Costello, Ken Costello, and their nephew Timmy Costello Jr. We took a trip down memory lane and had the Costellos tell us all about the larger than life man Jack Costello was. They spoke about all the principles and morals they instill in helping at risk youths. They were the epitome of everything the podcast stands for. I truly hope you enjoyed listening as much as I did because they truly took the podcast and ran with it and I'm not complaining. If you'd like more information on how to get in contact with them or see what events or other things they are up to you can do so with the links provided. Thanks for listening!

  • Limelight Highlight "Comic-Con Positivity" *32*
This episode of the podcast is all about the positivity to come out of Comic-Con's 50th Anniversary. Starting with a company called Magic Wheelchair. A company started by a father of 5 who's first born was diagnosed with (SMA) Spinal Muscular Atrophy at 9 months old. In 2008 he was inspired to create a costumed designed around his son's wheel chair after asking his son what he wanted to be for Halloween. His son said a pirate and that's where the company took off, designing wheelchairs for families free of charge and bringing attention as well as making a kid feel a little bit more normal about their disease. Our main story is about Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, the owner and creator of the "La Borinqueña" comic. With a young comic starting in 2016 already an iconic figure for Puerto Rico, Edgardo was given the humanitarian award for using his platform to combat injustices done to the Puerto Rican people as well as bring attention to the conditions the island is in, especially after the tragedy of hurricane Maria. Edgardo teamed up with DC comics only after 2 years to help bring more awareness to rebuilding Puerto Rico with his comic "Ricanstruction", where La Borinqueña is joined with iconic DC heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman who help rebuild the Island that Puerto Ricans love so much.

  • Limelight Highlight "Planting Trees" *31*
On this episode of the podcast we dive a little deeper on an article about how planting trees could be a natural way of reducing man-made carbon emissions and help slow down the rapid rate at which the climate is changing. We also discuss how big of an area is suitable for reforestation and how other places in the world are already undergoing their tree planting campaigns, intentional or not. As far as listener news we have an article from Precious about how one of the largest wildlife preserves in Africa has made it a full year without a single elephant killed by poachers. All that and more... Be sure to check out the links below to see how you can get involved, educated, and help with changing the world for the better.
