This week we round out the Banana Splits Adventure Hours. There’s only two shows left to cover, and we sure take our time! We also cover the ACT and how it ruined cartoons forever…

We unpack a lot this week. So much so, it has to go into next week. The Banana Splits Adventure Hour brings us the my psychedelic, zany, random show Hanna Barbera has brought to us thus far. Will we like it? Only one way to find out!

This week, we sat down to watch Samson and Goliath, aka Young Samson. We spend a lot of time trying to figure out if there’s some biblical connection or if Alex Toth had finally just lost his gourd.

Today’s episode is brought to you by the letter ‘Y’. As in, ‘Y’ did this get made?! Mighty Mightor gets a pass. But Moby Dick? What the hell were they thinking?

Hanna Barbera takes a wild turn in this revolutionary cartoon. There was a lot of firsts with this show! Like, does Stan Lee make his first cameo in this show? Uhhh, no. He sure don’t.

This week we focus in on The Herculoids! This gem from Alex Toth mixes sci-fi, cavemen, and fantasy. Does it work? I’m still not sure.

This week we talk about Birdman and the Galaxy Trio. Again, from the mind of Alex Toth, we get quite a nice treat! Birdman is very reminiscent of Space Ghost, but birdy-er. Not to be confused with Harvey Birdman, but that won’t stop Nick!

Merry Christmas, everyone! It’s literally Christmas, today. So we took a break from our normal process of watching a cartoon series, and we’re watching a TV Special, Yogi Bear’s All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper

Warning: This week we talk about the cartoonized Abbott and Costello for all of about 10 minutes, and spend the remaining 40 minutes talking about how good the original Abbott and Costello sketches were. Deal with it.

Happy Birthday, Mom!
