Welcome to May 2018 the beginning and opening of summer! Getting ready for the summer can take lots of work with exercising, and planning summer fun with the family can be exhausting make sure to rest and drink plenty of water cause it looks like its going to be a hot one.  The best part about May is the breaking out of the grill for barbecuing and opening the pools for swimming it is the month for the first summer party. 

We are starting this month out with an interview from Taiwo's newest protégé Kim Fox hers is another smooth voice whose music I will be promoting on the show. Taiwo is one of the Independent music artist whose music I promote here on the show. The two of them in this new song "Familiar" a song produced by Taiwo, together they have just the right amount smoothness that makes this song sweet and the beat is nice on this one.  We'll talk about how these two talents met and see what's in the future for Miss. Kim Fox join us Monday night at 7 pm EST and if you miss the show live don't worry about it you can always listen later on podcast at these internet sites.

Check out the new LJDNShow.com's new website or your computers or your laptop we are still working an out all the kinks will be up and functioning 100 percent very soon. I would like to introduce you to a new show coming up under the LJDNShow's brand  he is also a  new member to LJDN Family of entertainment the show is called "In The Cut with Jay"  premiering June 11th 8pm EST right after my Monday night I will be his co-host for the next few weeks until he gets his feet wet more information to come on this.

We made it through another week... I can't tell you how happy I am to see Friday! It's the #freakinweekend it's time to get pumped up .. but hold up, wait a minute did you get a chance to see my new show coming up in June? Well, it's not my show but it's under the LJDN shows the name of the show is called "In The Cut with Jay" it's his show that he wrote I will co-host with him for a few weeks then he will fly on his own.

Ready for another throwback fashion? Check out my slideshow and you will see some 90's fashion...personally I think we were a little confused I mean the hairstyles was cool but the fashion was a little wacky some of the time. The 90's for me was spent dancing and clubbing I would have liked to be at the club every weekend but I had kids so you know how that is "nature's ball and chain". 

But there were some things going on like Nelson Mandela was released from prison after 27 years, the Gulf War was going on I called that one the silent war because I think a lot of us Americans did not know there was a war, I knew because my husband was in it at Gitmo Guantanamo Bay. Also, the Hubble Space Telescope launched during the Space Shuttle Discovery mission. The popular music was Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Phill Collins, Micheal Bolton brings back memories huh? Well I don't have any of that music but I still have some good music join this morning for #throwback Thursday show starts at 9am EST. If you miss it you can find it here.

Welcome to May spring is in full effect and summer is sliding in while old man winter is going out #kickingandscreaming . Let's see this month's events include Mother's Day and the kick off to pool openings and BBQ's. It also the month of remembrance, with Memorial Day on the list of all the other fantastic events and celebrations.

I am excited to be back in the house with my #Diamonds last Tuesday I had to put on a podcast because I had jury duty which was kind of boring but.... somebody's got to do it, right. Did you know that Tuesday's is also the days I introduce new music. If you are a music artist and you sent me your mp3 and it approved it today is the day I introduce it and I've got some awesome new music today for you to check out. Wednesday is the day I introduce new country music. 

Remember it's #TruthfulTuesday the day to be honest about something that pertains to you and try to change it, notice I said try... that's because sometimes change is not easy but you can do it if you try. Join me this morning for my Truthful Tuesday at 9:00am

What’s up diamonds,

Well, we made it to the fourth month of 2018 this is the last Monday in April glass and the show has been promoting Awareness on everything from illnesses to diseases to whatever we needed to be aware of. I say that jokingly but illnesses no matter what kind is not a joke.  God knows who the strong ones are, it takes a strong person to handle this every day to face people who will stare at her or completely distance themselves away from them because they are afraid of what they don't know. 

 Monday night I will be talking about discoid lupus it is something that has affected my whole family on my oldest daughter. She was not born with that disease neither did she have it during her elementary or high school years, she was diagnosed with this in her adult years after she was married. This is something she actually been wanting for a while to bring an awareness to discoid lupus as we got closer to the date she began to be more hesitant on putting a picture of what discoid lupus has done to her face. I will be interviewing my daughter and we will talk about what she goes through on the days that she doesn’t feel like putting on special make up, which is hard for her I raised my daughters to not depend on makeup for beauty so they don't wear a lot of it. I was told lupus is a disease that runs through the family bloodline, and I have asked the oldest living person in my family about this disease and all all accounts have come up with empty.  Does the disease run on her father side of the family I don’t know and I probably will never know being a teenage mother my boyfriend abandoned me.   Join me on Monday night as my daughter and I have intimate talk to help bring awareness to discoid lupus.

I always wait till it's late before I call my jury duty line the good news is I won't be needed for tomorrow and that was my last call-in woohoo! #excited I've survived a month of civic duties now I can go on with my life. I was hoping I did not have a podcast for TGIF.

Today is the beginning of the..... I'm going to say it....#Freakinweekin! the beginning of all weekend possibilities and we don't how it will end, but we got two days to do it in so we best do it right... Join me as we pump up the volume and listen to only upbeat music for #feelgoodFriday I will be live and here with you for some lite #chitchat and some good music.

I'm back.... I had two days of jury duty on a civil trial a decision was made by us the jury, so I am free to go live for #throwback Thursday but... because the month is not over I have to call-in today after 5pm to see if they need me for Friday please say prayer that they won't need me cause today was #rough.  Anyway, I am here live with you today and hopefully Friday too. 

For this weeks throwback I went back 18 years to 2000, I know its hard to believe it was 18 years ago! It's a #throwback Y'all that were you doing in 2000? If you were had a baby your baby will be legal this year.  Here are a few things that happened:

As far as fashion it hasn't changed much as you will see from the picture in the slide below, that's what I found strange how the fashion is similar but so much has happened and is different from that era. Sorry, I can't be here again today, yesterday I was selected to be a juror for a multi-day trial hopefully this will be my last day doing this and I will be back live for #ThrowbackThursday. This week is also the last week I am to call the courthouse to see if I needed to appear for jury duty. What can I say they got me... and good too. Two ultra boring days it's not like I have an exciting case the case is boring and it's hard staying awake, I know it sounds like a complaint and it is... but it is my civic duty.

I apologize but they got me today for jury duty  and I have to report at 9:00am the same time as my show time, look at it this way at least I will be getting it out of the way I have been having to call in all month and just when I thought I would get out of it they call me in.
