The spring semester has started at Lincoln Land Community College normally Lincoln's Legends production comes to a halt education > likes share and downloads. making podcasts and video is so much fun, I may have found a happy medium with our new segment loosely titled the Media Minute.

Happy Holidays everyone, this will be the last episode/Vlog of  2016 and I wanted to close out the year with Lisa Clemmons Stott from Downtown Springfield Inc.

The podcast is a conversation from a few months ago at Incredibly Delicious and the vlog is a behind the scenes look at the 2016 Holiday Walk.  My life has been extremely crazy the past few months and I wanted to thank you for coming along with me on this journey.

For episode 60, we meet Zach Kerker the creative mastermind behind Channel1450.com.

I have been looking forward to this conversation for a really long time,  it’s extremely inspiring to see our local high school athletes on put on what I call our local version of EPSN’s SportsCenter.  My original intention was to have this episode to air on Wed Nov 23rd to correspond with both the holiday and the end of the high school football season.

Much like the previous episodes, this is an audio journey (during the audio) portion we get to know Zach on a personal level and for the Bonus Content we ride along for a night and see first hand what it’s like in the field.

I will admit that the audio isn’t the best quality however, it was the best gear that I had at the time. (Bonus Content is HD audio and video)

Meet on the Capitol lawn in front of the Lincoln Statue to march* downtown, letting your voice be shared among others from all walks of life and demographics.

On Saturday, the 19th, at 2PM, let it be known that you take a stand against racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, classism, censorship, and hate of ANY kind, and that you stand for acceptance and respect of all.

Episode 56: we sat down with cinematographer  Josh Hester from The Storyteller Studios  at Wm. Vans Coffee House.

Josh and his wife are the creative team behind the award-winning video production team The Storyteller Studios . I have been following their work for a long time, I have been trying to increase the production quality of the show.

So I wanted to learn as much as I could. I feel that they are trailblazers leading the way for businesses of all sizes to capitalize on their social media feeds via video. Chances are you have seen many of their videos in your Facebook feed without even knowing it.

During this episode, Josh says something along the lines of  “you are the  Stud Sterkel of Springfield”.

I didn’t know what that meant at the time, but after researching Stud Sterkel, I am honored to be thought of in such light.
