Line Changes with Alex & Brad

We're back! The Bruins have not looked like themselves, but find themselves in a 1-1 tie as the series shifts to Florida for games 3 and 4! Patrice Bergeron misses the first two games with the mysterious illness/injury combo, everyone decides to turn the puck over, and Tyler Bertuzzi is still a perfect fit for the Bruins. We break down games 1 and 2, and give our takeaways from what has been a surprising effort (or lack thereof) from the Bruins. Should Matt Grzelcyk be back in? Should Swayman start game 3? We're back! The 2023 NHL regular season has ended, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs are set to begin on Monday, April 17th. The Bruins have finished the 2022-23 season at an amazing record of 65-12-5 amassing an NHL record 135 points. We take a look back at the B's final handful of games... Brad Marchand scored a goal, a few more injury scares pop up, and Pavel Zacha won NESN's 7th player award. We preview their opening-round series against the Florida Panthers, and what makes Florida a tough matchup for the best team in NHL history. We then give our entire 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs predictions and wrap the episode up by discussing baseball and how the Toronto Blue Jays are superior.

We are back.. and it's official. The 2022-23 Boston Bruins are the greatest team in NHL history, as with their 63rd win, they set the record for most wins in a single season. Oh yeah, David Pastrnak has a hat trick against Philly to hit SIXTY (60!!) goals on the season. We also get into Coach Montgomery's record for most wins by a coach in their first year and Taylor Hall being healthy again. However, to create the cap room for Hall's return, Forbort and Foligno are placed on LTIR. McAvoy also left the game against TOR but was fine, and Krejci is being sat out. Marchand's season is also a topic of conversation as he is set to be under a point per game for the first time since the 2015-16 season. To wrap up the episode, we discuss Mason Lohrei beginning his professional career and the first week of the MLB season!

We are back! The Bruins torturous March schedule rolls on as they win their last 3 games by a total goal differential of +13. They Clinched a playoff spot on MARCH ELEVENTH. The B's continue their historic season as they now have 111 points in 69 games, and their season-long goal differential is up to +113. Jeremy Swayman gets back-to-back shutouts as the Bruins continue to rotate defensemen, all while Derek Forbort comes down with an injury. We are back! The Bruins had quite the day on March 2nd, where it started off with the B's acquiring Tyler Bertuzzi, placing Nick Foligno on IR, Taylor Hall on LTIR, and then finally, they announced an 8-year, $90M contract ($11.25M AAV) for David Pastrnak. They finally did it! We break down the whirlwind of a day, Linus Ullmark scoring a goal and following it up with a 54-save win against Calgary, and all the chaotic trades around the NHL! We also discuss Orlov becoming an offensive powerhouse with the Bruins, Marchand injury scares, and more!   

We are back... and Don Sweeney continues to impress at the deadline as he makes a BIG move, acquiring defenseman Dmitry Orlov and forward Garnet Hathaway from the Washington Capitals! The B's send Craig Smith and 3 draft picks to Washington, and send a 5th to Minnesota as they retain an extra 25% of Orlov's contract. We give our immediate reactions and discuss if we think the Bruins are done, or if they'll consider moving next year's first-round pick to add more at this deadline.
