In this article I answer the simple, but very widely asked question - is outreach on LinkedIn relevant in 2024.
Check the episode for the answer.
All 5 tips are backed up by data and are from our experience of working with many clients.
Before we proceed - a question to you: “Do you measure your acceptance rate?” If not, just open up a google sheet and start filling in the info like how many requests you have sent and how many have actually accepted your request on LinkedIn. Divide the two numbers and see your acceptance rate, really simple.
1. Don’t pitch
2. Don’t be generic or like everyone else
3. Be short and precise
4. Be creative
5. Use blank
Pro tip: If you start measuring your acceptance rate and see that you are below 20%, maybe you should start tweaking things around or slow down a bit. I mean if you are sending 5-10 requests per week, don’t even bother, but if you are serious about lead gen on LinkedIn and outreach, then you should pay close attention to that number. Hope this is helpful. Let me know in the comments what you think. Particularly, what do you think about Tip N 5? Weird?) Stay tuned for more. See you soon.
Today, I’ll give you five tips on how to improve your LinkedIn headline in order to stand out from the crowd, stay with me.
Before getting to the tips, let’s understand why it’s important to have a good LinkedIn headline.
If you are appearing in searches, or if you have viewed your prospect’s profile and they are seeing who has viewed their profile, people will see only two things:
- Profile Picture
- Headline
That’s why it’s crucial to have a really good LinkedIn headline. So let’s get started and get to the tips.
My question is: “Why haven't you started.”
If you are into LinkedIn marketing, they you need to post content on LinkedIn.
All of us have fears and this video will help you start posting on LinkedIn.
1. Opinions
What will others think? Let me give you a really short, but precise answer and open up a secret for you. No one cares. Trust me. No one will ever care what you do. Just do it because it's good for you, it's good for your personal brand it's good for your business. That simple.
2. No engagement
What if I post content and I get zero likes? Well, this is a fear and I was actually having the same fear and issue as well, but I got a solution to that as well. Just call your family members or 2-3 of your friends who are on LinkedIn and say: "Hey, right now get on LinkedIn and just freaking like my post.” That simple. So it will be not zero likes.
3. Where to start If you are up for this challenge, right now, after this take a selfie or even without a selfie, make a text post. And in that post write: “Hey, I just watched this video and I am committing publicly that I'm going to be putting content on a daily basis or on a weekly basis for the next three or six months. In that post, make sure you tag me so 5,000 of my connections see that post: I engage with it and my network also engages with that. That way it will be a really good head start. If you are up for this challenge, I'm looking forward to getting tagged in one of your posts.
In this episode I talk about LinkedIn Automation tools and the question is: "Should you use them?"
Different people, different opinions... My strong advice to you: do not use LinkedIn automation tools. And in the episode I give four reasons why you should not.
Check the audio for the details, but in short:
1. LinkedIn automation is prohibited by LinkedIn. So if you use tools, you have the risk of getting blocked.
2. With LinkedIn automation tools you will eventually connect with wrong people 50% of the time as LinkedIn's search results are not perfect.
3. Even the best tools out there have glitches: they not always detects the name correctly if there are special characters in that person's name or, even worse, they don't detect the answers.
4. You are losing control and potentially not seeing an interesting point on your prospect's profile which you could use later on.
What are the alternatives?
1. Do it Yourself
2. Hire a virtual assistant
3. Contract a lead gen agency.
Whatever you choose to do, you will have to invest: either time or money. It is up to you. Whatever you choose to do, I sincerely hope this episode was helpful and I wish you good luck! Stay away from LinkedIn Automation tools: play safe. P.S. Not mentioned in the episode, but 4. Hire an in-house employee. This is the least cost-effective option, however.
