About Lions' Forge: The Epic True Story of 5 Kings and the Lion Queen
From the publisher's feed
This is the true story about the almost unbelievable life of the woman we know as Eleanor of Aquitaine. In her 80 years, she inherited one of the greatest fortunes of Western Europe, married two…
kings who would fight each other throughout their lives for her wealth, gave birth to two other monarchs, went on Crusade, led a war, spent fifteen years in prison, crossed the alps on horseback in her seventies, raised a king's ransom, and ruled her own lands longer than any other woman except Queen Elizabeth II. This podcast is adapted from the book, Lions' Forge, written by Karen Markle Knab; look for it soon!
