Hayden Young dropped by the studio after Freo’s huge win last week and their first ever against Port in Adelaide. He said it felt awesome to come back with the victory and is gearing up for a tough clash with the Brisbane Lions. On Nat Fyfe’s retirement, Hayden reckoned the timing’s perfect, giving the team a massive boost and the chance for a fairytale finish that would mean a lot to the fans. They’re also hoping to smash the Derby attendance record. As for whether he’ll be out there tomorrow, he kept everyone guessing. Before heading off, Hayden wished Clairsy all the best and handed over a signed Dockers guernsey.

Another jam-packed show as we edged closer to Clairsy’s final day. Radio legend Gary Roberts dropped by to reminisce about Clairsy’s early days on 96FM and his role as a mentor and friend throughout the years. Musician and former colleague Brian Mannix phoned in to swap stories. Lisa called around other radio stations to find out if Clairsy was headed elsewhere. Barra put Clairsy to the test to see if he had what it takes for a TV career, while comedian Jon Pinder popped in, devastated by the news, and tried out his best radio voice... only to admit early mornings aren’t his thing. And, of course, another wave of celebrity farewell messages rolled in, but can you guess who they were?

Jon was gutted to hear about Clairsy’s departure. Lisa quizzed him about what it was like opening for Jeremy Piven, but Jon confessed he’d never even seen Entourage. Fresh back from the UK, Jon bragged he’d managed to catch Oasis not once, but twice. He then put on his best Aussie radio voice to see if he had what it takes to step into Clairsy’s shoes.

Barra popped into the studio and was completely saddened by the news that Clairsy was leaving 96FM. Rick Arden sent a message, and Barra quizzed Clairsy on sporting nicknames to see how he’d go. As Clairsy’s farewell week rolled on, radio legend and the guy who kicked it all off for 96FM, Gary Roberts popped in to say goodbye. Clairsy shared memories of their first meeting and how Gary ended up hiring him years later. When asked if he missed radio, Gary said it was the people he missed most. He also had a listen to some of Clairsy’s very first airchecks and gave his thoughts.
