Kids-Zone.ch – For the Love of Animals
Tamara from Kids-Zone joined Katt Cullen on the WRS Breakfast Show to chat about kids and their love of animals! With Easter holidays and spring weekends just around the corner, they shared a fantastic roundup of animal-themed outings perfect for families across Geneva and Vaud. From cute and cuddly farm animals to fascinating reptiles and even freshwater otters, there’s something for every little animal lover.
Highlights included the charming Bio Parc Genève, where kids can get up close with over 90 species (don’t miss the chipmunks and lemurs!), and Ferme La Gavotte in Lancy, a hands-on farm experience with pony rides and adorable baby goats. For indoor fun, the Vivarium de Meyrin is great for kids into snakes and lizards, while Aquatis Aquarium in Lausanne offers an impressive deep dive into aquatic life. Finally, Bois de la Bâtie is a beautiful outdoor spot in Geneva where you can spot native animals and enjoy a family-friendly forest walk.

This morning, we take a closer look at the Geneva English School’s secondary school, based in Versoix, where around 170* students benefit from a close-knit, personalised learning environment. At GES, teachers form strong relationships with both students and their families, ensuring that everyone knows each other by name. This connection is a cornerstone of the school’s success, according to Daniel Crabtree, Head of Senior School.
Dan emphasises the importance of open communication, where parents can easily reach out to teachers for specific academic support, and he himself maintains regular contact with families.
Having recently relocated to the region with his family, Daniel’s own children are part of the school community, and he’s been tuning in to WRS since arriving.
Curious about what it means to be the Head of Senior School? WRS Breakfast Show's Katt Cullen asked Dan just that when he came into the studio.
