This episode features a conversation with Lucija Lunder, a research assistant at the France Stele Institute of Art History ZRC SAZU and PhD student in art history at the University of Maribor.

We talk about her interest in the balance between professional art and motherhood. Lucija shares how this theme became the central focus of both her creative research project while volunteering at the Kaunas Artists’ House in Lithuania, and her master's thesis, "Balancing Motherhood and Professional Work of Female Artists in the Socialist Republic of Slovenia: A Study of Maternity Leave".

Lucija also shares what she discovered through these two distinct experiences when it comes to exploring the personal stories of artist-mothers, and the stereotypes and barriers they were and are facing.
