Terrible I was tricked!!

There's nothing here the description is wrong. Don't spend your money on this piece of irrelevant carp. It's just things about the author literally like 4 pages

I'm not sure how I feel about this story

The flow of the story reads almost like poetry, and sounds pretty, but I didn't feel like there was a lot of substance to the story.

... If the book's narrated by Cathy ...

... If the book's narrated by Cathy Dobson, don't bother wasting a credit on it. If you don't believe me, listen to the audio sample. The inflection in her narrative is so off-putting, it's impossible to listen to. There are a handful of books I would have purchased -- if only they were narrated by anyone other than her.

Before there was 'mall watching' there was Nathaniel Hawthorne. Watching a poor apple seller at the local railroad allows the author to share how he became connected to the old man and what he learned from him. There is no indication that the author actually spoke to the man, but you may just leave empathizing with a man observed. A classic short story narrated by Glenn Hascall.

Public domain work

A woman returning home encounters a crone who allows the young woman to hear the opinions of those she is about to greet, thus learning that all of her worst fears are true.

This is included in a horror story collection, though I don't see why. It feels like the kind of thing an angsty teen would write. Everyone hates you, nyeh. It's not horror; it's melodrama. I can't recommend it in any way.

Luckily, it is at least in the public domain. I listened to a free audio production from Librivox.
