This book was bought to use as decoration for my niece's Library themed baby shower. Several books were bought and used on the food table as a cute way to describe the food. This book was near the chicken wings!

Very nice hard book

Bought this to read to my grandchildren. I loved this story from my childhood and wanted them to hear the story as well. This is a nice hard cover book. It will be very durable for the kids.

With twenty one short chapters, just over 130 pages, and colourful illustrations, this is ideal for children moving on to longer chapter books. My eight year old daughter absolutely adored this story of Nelly, who heads off on a quest to find her long lost father, with only her turtle, Columbus, to keep her company.

Captain Bones Peabody has gone sailing around the world, many years before, and had not returned. Although Nelly cannot remember her father, she is determined to find him and - when she is determined to do something â she generally does. This is a fun and exciting read and Nelly is a brave and resourceful heroine and a great role model for girls. So, join Nelly on her quest and sail off on adventures with her to distant parts of the world.

This book is full of quirky characters and everything has a real sense of the absurd about it â from Nellyâs mother and her compulsive knitting to the many odd characters that Nelly meets along the way. A delight to read and a great addition to any childâs bookshelf.
