Frustrating

Ugh! The narration was horrible! The storyline was decent, but the narration killed it for me. The narrator stoped at of spots in sentences and the editing was bad. Several sentences were repeated. It was hard to finish listening.

Tyler is a strong dominant man that takes charge. He sees a something he wants and goes after it. Victoria is a strong woman but with insecurities. Their passion for each other is rough and raw from the beginning. Even after they find out that they are step siblings.

It's a good story but I would recommend reading it instead of the audio version.

GREAT STORY SHAME ON THE END OF THE NARRATION

Here we meet Want to be designer Victoria & CEO Tyler and what a mouth he had not just in the taking stakes but in the snogging state. You wouldn't have blamed Victoria of given Tyler a gay lip of their first meeting at the minimum.

The story we see these 2 join and build together, is HOT in all sense even when others want them to fail.

My only bad negative was I felt that the story jumped abs missed areas from the narration we hear which made me drop down a star as I just felt like I was musing something, so I'm going to have to read it, which i don't mind at all, but such a shame that I felt disheartened at the very end. Don't put you off from the story or book as it's as Lauren Landish always does

Not for me

From the very beginning this book turned me off. I did not like the story or the narrator. The main character is a weak and sappy woman. I couldn't get even halfway through.

Great story...Horrible Heroine!

Struggled to finish because Tasha was so whiny and annoying! I loved the setting and the story itself, but I was put off by the heroine' s continuous irritating dialogue.

Summer with a Star

Pretty good. I was just tiring of the teacher's angst when the story gratefully ended.

Great story but....

This was a great read and I love the plot and how the characters developed but it was all I could do to listen to the reader. My six year old granddaughter reads with more depth. She has a really grating voice, mispronounced words, and paused in places that threw off the sentences. For example one line she reads:

You haven't changed

The way you see me

One bit

The meter throws off the intensity of the read when done improperly and she needs to listen to people who CAN read before doing any more herself. The story definitely was worth listening to but I will certainly avoid Dawnya's narrations when scoping out future novels.

Claire Bocking, now THERE is a reader!!!! That lady could make the phone book riveting!!! Have Dawnya's listen to her books and she should see what I mean.

Mediocre story with both highs and lows

This was the first book I've read (listened to) by Merry Farmer and I wanted to enjoy finding a new author. However, I had a really hard time warming up to the heroine, Tasha, and it may have been because of the high pitched voice the narrator gave her. In the story, Tasha, a second grade teacher, has just been dumped by her fiancé of 13 years, after realizing that he'd been cheating on her most of that time and he thought it was okay to do that. Since she had been saving for 10+ years to rent the beach house of her dreams in coastal Maine for the summer, she went there to get over the hurt and relax for the summer. She arrives at the house and finds out that it has been rented out from under her to a movie star. He offers to share the big house with her and the story goes on from there.

fab read

I have read a number of books by this author and she never disappoints. this is a fantastic romantic story with just enough hot steamy scenes to keep you hooked. the book is fantastically written with brilliant characters which are going to keep you reading long into the night. this is the third book in the series, but I hadnât read one and two before reading this, to me this book could be read as a standalone.

Navy Sergeant, never heard of that Navy rank!

Premise was great, male narration was great, but...needs a lot of help with terminology (both verbiage and consistency. Was confused at why Ginger was flirting so much while in a "committed" relationship. Also, why the need for her cussing out of nowhere and wanted to see the conversations during Dennis' reveal and her renewed stance with Brad.

Good but way to short

This was really a great plot. It needed to be a real long book which would have been great. The narrator did a good job as far as male voices went, but for female voices he was awful!

I would read more from this author. I hope she writes more in this series with longer stories, and a different narrator like Sebastian York.

Loved the story and the narrators were fantastic!

I have the biggest book hangover after reading To the Stars. I also have another book to add to my favorites list. Molly McAdams is one of my go to authors. She never disappoints me with her words. The emotions that this book evokes is overwhelming. It was the most intense, sad and upsetting ride Ive taken with this author since Taking Chances. My heart broke and my gut ached from the pain that Harlow and Knox endured. I was completely invested in these characters and their story.

I listened to this book on Audible and let me tell you, Eldridge Em and Alan Matthew did an amazing job at bringing Low and Knox to life. Together and separate, I loved the narrators and applaud their performance. It could not have been easy to record this book. I was sobbing through most of it.

Once again Ive been Mollyd. I say that when Ive been emotionally stripped bare, heartbroken beyond what I think can be repaired, yet she was able to mend my broken heart and make it swell. Wonderful job telling a story of such a sensitive subject. Im really excited now to read Deacons story and hope to get a little glimpse of the gang from Thatch again.

Not exactly realistic in regards to age issues

The fact that Lows parents place these requirements on Knox if he wants their approval (i.e. Knox being three years older than Low her parents imply she cannot marry till she finishes college) yet Low loses her virginity at 18 and marries a boy two years older than her when still in college and ends up quitting college to be a trophy wife - AND Lows parents LOVE Colin. And even after Knox saves Low - her parents still attempt to put demands and conditions upon Knox. Poor Knox can't ever catch a break with Lows parents EVER. And that just plain sucked in my opinion. And seriously no just turned 18 year olds would ever dis a friend who liked a 15 year old. They would have been a senior and freshman in high school. Its not unreasonable to believe that they could have had a relationship especially considering Low is allowed to hang out with her sister of the same age as Knox in the first place.

Hard to get through.....

I really wanted to like this book, but I had a really hard time getting through it. Most of the book is Harlow in fear and being abused.

waaaaaaay to much unnecessary drama. lol half of which doesn't even make sense or even work with the story. oh and in case you were wondering they aren't even together for pretty much the whole book. (FOR A DUMB ASS reason that also doesn't make sense. And the guy narrator sounds like he is 60 not 30!

I absolutely loved it and the ending was prefect.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good Romance. This should be made into a movie.....so romantic......I cried for happy for the two of them.

Finally!!

I have been waiting for this for years, and it was worth the wait!! However, I am heartbroken over what happens to Trystan :( it was a great book and I'm so glad that I finally found out what happened with Mauri and him, and how their story ends. It's worth a credit, or the money!! Good narration also, the same as their story in "secret life of Trystan Scott".

LOVE WAS BEATEN BY CHILDHOOD PENT UP RAGE

Now that Rowan's twin brother Tyson is out of Prison he is a really thoughtful Uncle and takes time off from his MMA training each week to take his tiny niece to a local bookshop to read to her... all say ahhh. But his charming, generous and kind exterior is only the soft shell hiding Tyson's tortured soul because he has memories and secrets from his past haunting him and he's a powder keg with a very short fuse. However, he carefully hides it from everyone and has his own way of exorcising the demons... by secret illegal underground fights. Then, one day at the bookshop, his world changes when he sees Sydney, a beautiful blonde, who seems attracted to Tyson too but flatly says no to all his advances - so week after week he keeps trying..... until eventually he gets a hesitant yes.

I did enjoy this listen but I didn't like it, or the main H/H, as much as book 1 - however there was the same camaraderie and witty banter between the Fighters which was fun. The love story had the predictable 'secret' that was left too late to sensibly explain and so, when it backfired on Sydney, I really felt it was her own fault. Tyson was a challenging Hero - he did keep secrets of his own but his heart and feelings were always open and loving.
