Excellent Author - Excellent Amazon Product
I have penned 29 non-fiction books and I purchased this one to help me shift to a fiction platform - to "re-inspire and re-tool" so to speak. Robert W. Walker's book is incredibly eye opening and I learned a lot in the first ten pages of Dead On Writing. Robert is a very confident "alpha" type writer, and rightly so-as he is also a professor. (That did make me wonder if any rating here less than stellar was not from an unhappy student. Gee, a mystery within a simple review!) It must be because I am a seasoned author and still am able to be inspired by Professor Walker and I appreciate the fact it is hard enough to write a book, not mention write a book about how to write a book. Very brave if you think about it. I could not do it.
Dead On Writing is excellent for anyone just starting, it really forces an aspiring writer or novelist to see what others will look for when it is time to publish- it also helps posture an aspiring writer, providing a blue print for what should be in a good piece of work.
Robert W. Walkers book Dead On Writing is also great for seasoned authors like myself wanting to re-inspire and learn a few things we did not know. I consider his book as good as a four hour college course in creative writing and then some. His book is interesting, at times comical, educational and a page turner even if I aspired to write nothing.
My vote is for the poor inner city kid who earned a full scholarship to Northwestern University, went on to write 40 novels and be a professor of English and Literature which is Robert W. Walker. Thanks for a .99 cent book worth a few hundred dollars of lessons! ~Deborah Dolen Author
Great Read
Just finished this book, and let me tell you its simply amazing.
That being said the first thing we have to talk about is p rice, see I've a good bit of paper back and hard back books I paid well over their worth for just sitting around my house that I paid way to much for and a lot of it was just not that great of advice, but this Ebook not only comes at an amazing price but its also given me tips and insights I never thought possible.
Another great thing I really really loved about this was the fact each secontion was handled with such great care, it wasn't rushed. This isn't a book that was made with just enough tips and advice to be a writing guid book.
