Enjoyable

This story seemed a bit of a duplication of previous plots. It was fun to read/ listen to, but had the battle between the good team and the evil team, the girl is kidnapped right after she falls in love, some die, some live...what happens next?

Title: All Kitten Aside

Subtitle: Paranormal Dating Agency, Book 11

Author: Milly Taiden

Narrator: Joshua Macrae

Format: Unabridged

Length: 5 hrs and 3 mins

Language: English

Release date: 04-27-17

Publisher: Latin Goddess Press

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 57 votes

Genres: Romance, Fantasy

Publisher's Summary:

You don't have to listen to any of the other books in the series to listen to this one. It's 100% stand-alone.

Miranda Colilla needs a mate. Fast. This curvy lioness wants a man she can bend to her will, who will stay out of her business, and let her lead like the alpha she is. She needs that mate urgently before the lions in her pride think she's going to hand the reins over to one of them and let them tell her what to do. Not in this lifetime. When a wolf saves her hide, there's more than just gratitude sparking between them.

Kasen Steel's tired of women throwing themselves at him. As alpha of his pack, he can have any woman he wants. Problem is, he doesn't want any of them. He wants a chase. He wants someone who isn't taken in with his position. A chance meeting with a hot as hell lioness makes him want a close encounter of the naked kind with her. Wait, he's already naked.

Kasen knows Andi's perfect for him. She's already making him crazy by denying their attraction and the fact she's his mate. The hunt is on. Unfortunately for him, proving to Andi they're right for each other is just one of the problems facing this alpha. Keeping her alive, when someone wants her dead, is another. But Kasen isn't going to sit by and let anyone harm her. Now that he's found his smart-assy mate, he isn't letting go. Whether she likes it or not.

Listener note: So you like too-hot-to-handle, off-the-charts hot sex, dirty talking, humor, violence, and lots of roaring fights, you say? Then you've come to the right place. This book is all about a sassy plus-sized alpha lioness who knows what she wants and a hot, smooth talking alpha wolf who likes to get his way. There's serious violence, crazy people all over, ass-kicking and sex so smoking hot it'll feel like Florida in July while you listen. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to hear, skip this book. However, if you like sarcasm and hot sex with no filter, this is just your thing. Enjoy!

music really?? -_-

OK I really love your all books but the narrator in this story was OK not good but OK what really got me to almost throw my phone was the music for each chapter... like the narrator from before was just fine. Please bring her back she's been there since the beginning.

Anyways love your books.

Great story

I am so enjoying this series. I have to say with this book I laughed so hard. There so many parts in this book I found so funny. Oh, dont worry Milly Taiden does not disappoint when it comes to the steamy parts as well.

This book does have an audio and I did listen to the audio while following along with the ebook. I do wish this would of had whispersync feature. I did like listen to the narrator but was not crazy about the music that played to show a new chapter was beginning. For me just saying the name of the chapter is good enough for me. This book is a standalone so do not worry if you have not read any of the other books in the series.

Miranda aka Andi had went to Gerri Wilder about her services on finding a mate. Funny Andi thought she knew what she wanted. She wanted a man that would stay quite and not interfere with her Alpha duties. She was the Lioness of her Pride. She did have some problem with some of the men in her pride since all wanted to mate her.

I really did like Kasen. Kasens mom not so much.

Cute, funny and suspenseful

Cute story. Sounds like a teen movie. I enjoyed the book a lot. It was full of humor and suspense. The main character had a sense of humor. I did not like the narrator.

I liked It, But...

Author, Jaimie McFarlane has written an urban fantasy novel with the intent of starting a series. There are some good things in the novel, but there are some negative things as well. The love interest of the main character is manufactured and not believable like a million bad romance novels where people inexplicably just want each other for no reason and certainly no chemistry. Also, there is no real clear definition of the difference in witches, warlocks and wizards. Yet the book makes a strong point of there being a difference that matters to many of the characters in the story. Overall, Wizard In A Witchy World wasnt bad. It just has some things that I think should have been addressed in editing. I did like the story enough to read/listen to the next book. If there isn't an improvement, I wont be checking out anymore in the series.

Finally, this audio book was provided at no cost in exchange for an honest review courtesy of Audio Book Boom.

Start of a fun series

The Story

Ok, first of all it's about darn time we get an urban fantasy world where the witches are on top! Just sayin'

Leaving that aside, this is a start of what I suspect is going to be a fun series. The characters are interesting and work well together and the writing is strong, as is the usual for this author. I fully expect to enjoy this book series.

The Narration

I like this narration. The Narrator's voice was clear, he was able to distinguish between character "voices" successfully, he did a good job expressing tension and action scenes, and he kept a good pace. I'm not a huge audio-book listener but this one seemed to do everything I'd want it to.

Great Story and great writing by Jamie as usual

I am a serious SciFi fan so a book about Witches and Wizards was a step outside my norm. It took me a while to get into the first couple chapters but after that I was hooked. I like the subtle hints of the occult and the use of magical beings so to speak.

The hard part was Lou Lamberts narration. I eventually got used to his style but I continuously thought everyone was in their 50's and 60's. Obviously that wasn't the case. Messed with my minds visual a few times.

Totally NEW twist, nothing else like it!!!!

Where does Awaken the Highland Warrior rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

This was the most surprisingly satisfying stories I have listened to in a long time. Ms. Clenney managed to break away from the same cookie cutter "Highland Romances" to something totally unique and intriguing.

What did you like best about this story?

The author seamlessly intertwined so many different genres into one story. It's like nothing else out there. There is something for everyone. It's got your gorgeous highland warriors in kilts (of course), some time travel, arch angels, demons, sorcerers, halflings, a heroin that's not a simpering whiner, history, mystery, and of course, some pretty good romance.

What does Susie Riddell bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

The narrator did an excellent job creating believable voices for each of the various characters. She is very pleasant to listen to.

Love this new spin on Highlanders!!

Loved this book, the accents were not overwhelmingly ridiculous. And the love story believable. The characters were unique and fun. Overall a very realistic paranormal story. I know, it sounds like a contradiction but it works!

Loved the story hated the reader

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend this book to read but not to listen to. It is extremely disconcerting to hear a British female voice reading for characters who are a male Scot in America and an American female also in America.

What did you like best about this story?

I thought the author wrote a wonderfully believable story.

What aspect of Susie Riddells performance would you have changed?

Susie Riddell!! Why in the world did Audible choose this reader? She read well and gave the protagonists a decent job but makes it appear as though the whole story should take place in England. At no point was there a British character.

Any additional comments?

I'm so sad to learn that this reader did the whole series.

Loved it

I loved the book when I read it and. It even better on audible it really brings the story to life x

GOOD STORY ENDS OF CLIFFHANGER!!

Would you try another book from Julia Mills and/or Hollie Jackson?

No

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

H/H was the most interesting. The Dragon shifter Traitor Andrew was the least interesting

What didnt you like about Hollie Jacksons performance?

She just read the story. Whisper Sync reads the story so why pay for an audio book ?

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

Her Dragon's Fire had the potential to have gotten a 4 star rating review from me. The story in itself was good with likeable H/H and decent amount of Actions and a nice Sexy, Sensual Romance between Aiden O'Brien a member of the Elite Dragon Guard and the beautiful intelligent Attorney Grace Kensington who is also, best friends with the Heroine Kyndel from bk.1 Her Dragon to Slay.

After a long hard late night's work at her office Grace decides to go stay at her best friends home which is closer to her job. Aiden is staying at Kyndel's home, she has married his commander of the dragon guard and they are looking for Aiden's traitor brother Andrew. Andrew got away from them in bk 1 and of course he gets away from them in this story bk2. After an enjoyable but cookie cutter story we are left with a Cliffhanger again. It was not to bad in bk1 because it was free from Amazon and I got bk2 for just 99 cents so that wasn't bad. However I will not be buying bk3 because any author worth there salt can end a book that's a part of a series without a Cliffhanger.

Love this!!!

What did you love best about Her Dragon's Fire?

After reading this book I couldn't wait to listen to it.

Members Reviews:

Here is the non-HeartMate Celta novella, for those Celtans who didn't have a HeartMate in this life but find rewarding love too!

The Celta HeartMate series are love stories. That is, primarily boy meets girl, they may or may not get along at first, but they work out their issues in an honorable fashion, get married, and live happily ever after.

I've been pleased that boys & girls matched as couples can appear thereafter in the stories. Sometimes the next book is about the next generation of Celtans. That is, this is an ongoing series and especially the couples most central to Celtan society can appear in the next book as part of the culture/the society in which younger Celtan boys and girls live. I always enjoy seeing them again, even in supporting roles.

This is the only romance series that I read. My other favorite science fiction/fantasy/alternate history series tend to include romance, but not as the primary plot.

What I have always liked best about the Celta HeartMate series is the telepathy between HeartMates (even before they've agreed to marry) and both the routine teleportation of those with enough Flair (magic) and also the telekinesis (powered again by Flair). And I like that they are on another planet, which their ancestors from Earth traveled to hundreds of years before, when persecuted on Earth for too much ESP (extrasensory perception, which evolved into powerful Flair). This culture also strongly believes in reincarnation so that if you don't have a HeartMate this time, you might in your next life.

One book in the series, in fact, is about a boy who not only has no Flair but his talent cancels Flair. [Anyone with Flair in his immediate vicinity finds that their Flair is temporarily suppressed. As soon as they move far enough away from him, their Flair is back to normal.] He falls for a girl with lots of Flair and they work it out.

And, I have to confess, this is by far the steamiest series I have ever read. But we are all adults here, even consenting adults. [No, this is NOT the series to suggest to young adult audiences. But that is OK.

Starting to stray from good ploy to sappy relationships

Okay...we I am still wondering how the story will end but losing interest in the storyline....

It is VERY unrealistic to think about sex in the middle of a major crisis.. I thought the story was about saving humanity and turned into trying to lose ones virginity ....in the middle possible Armageddon

Not to mention...., these fallen Angels don't seem to be crucial to the story nor have they learned their lesson from their Father as they are putting their own desires over saving the world. Who the heck cares if one has a girlfriend if the world is ending shortly

If I hear matches again I will scream

This would have been a great love story if it were not for sex scenes that only a young teen would find interesting. Matches matches matches not cute. Maybe this book is for very young adults and I am just too old for it. I do love the plot it is just lost with getting matches.

good book

good book just too much mushy sex scenes. I would definitely recommend this book if sex scenes don't bother you. I just skip them...

Waste of time

There is a great plot hidden in these poorly wrote books, but you need patience to find it under all the awkward sex scenes. Poorly developed support characters are sprinkled throughout. I wish they could have reached their full potential.

The main character Jess seems to fluctuate between two actual people. Example, it's brought up how she is stubborn, a few times even, but she's the opposite of stubborn. She constantly bends to everyone else. How is that stubborn?

Don't waste your time on these.

Ian and Page, Eternal Love

I absolutely love this series. I listen to each book from time to time. Romance, action, danger and a close loving family.

Ian is the third pure blood vampire to find his mate. The interesting twist is Paige, his dated mate, is aware vampires exists as her father is one and killed her mother. He is pursuing Paige to torment her. Paige has a fear and hatred of vampires but as in other stories the Burn family's loving caring nature results in her view.

There is romance, faithfulness and protectiveness i these stories that I love! a there is always an impediment that must be overcome, but each story is different and brings in other members of the family you've come to love.

Please keep theses coming

Plus Tavia Gilbert is one of the very best narrators....she is incredible.
